<p><strong>Senior Geophysicist</strong></p><p>Location: Oxford</p><p>Salary: £32,000 - £36,000</p><p></p><p>Are you looking to join a fast-growing Geophysical Specialist Company where you can develop your career and expand your knowledge?</p><p><strong>About the Role:</strong></p><p>As a Senior Geophysicist, you'll support subsurface investigations from instruction through to data interpretation and reporting.</p><p>The role involves acquiring and analysing borehole geophysical data, contributing to ground models, and supporting site investigations across brownfield and greenfield projects.</p><p>A mix of site and office work, with opportunities to develop and progress.</p><p></p><p><strong>What's on Offer: </strong></p><ul><li>25 days' annual leave in addition to UK bank holidays</li><li>5% employer pension contribution based on gross salary</li><li>Company profit share scheme</li><li>Health Cash Plan covering dental, optical, and other medical expenses</li><li>Extra pay for site work and field assignments</li><li>Access to Cycle to Work scheme</li><li>Inclusive, collaborative workplace as an Equal Opportunities Employer</li><li>Supportive and experienced team with a strong focus on innovation, quality, and continuous improvement</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Plan and design geophysical surveys, delivering robust technical solutions from bid stage through to completion</li><li>Supervise field activities to ensure high data quality and adherence to technical standards, with site support as required</li><li>Lead the analysis, interpretation, and reporting of complex geophysical data, producing clear and reliable outputs</li><li>Uphold quality assurance standards, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget while encouraging innovation</li><li>Contribute across sectors including infrastructure, engineering, environmental investigations, UXO, and utilities</li><li>Support and mentor junior team members, providing ongoing technical guidance</li><li>Carry out occasional fieldwork in the UK and overseas as project needs dictate</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>What We're Looking for:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Education:</strong> Postgraduate qualification in geophysics or a closely related field</li><li><strong>Experience:</strong> 7+ years in near-surface geophysics, with proven experience delivering complex projects and leading teams</li><li><strong>Technical Capability:</strong> Strong working knowledge of key methods including GPR, EM, magnetometry, microgravity, electrical (resistivity, IP), and seismic techniques (refraction and surface waves)</li><li><strong>Software Skills:</strong> Proficient with recognised processing and interpretation packages (such as Oasis Montaj, GeoGiga, SurfSeis, Res2Dinv, Zonde, Aarhus Workbench or equivalent).
