<strong>Senior Electrical Engineer - Building Services</strong><strong>Location:</strong> Cardiff / Bristol<strong>Job Type:</strong> Full-time, Permanent<strong>Salary:</strong> Competitive (dependent on experience)<strong>Senior Electrical Engineer - Building Services Overview</strong> An opportunity is available for a Senior Electrical Engineer - Building Services to join an established engineering consultancy team in Cardiff or Bristol offices. The Senior Electrical Engineer - Building Services will deliver electrical design across multiple sectors, supporting project delivery, client engagement, and team development within a multidisciplinary environment.<strong> Key Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Deliver electrical building services design across all RIBA Stages 0-6</li><li>Lead and coordinate building services engineering projects</li><li>Manage project programmes, resources, and technical delivery</li><li>Develop and maintain client relationships and stakeholder communication</li><li>Oversee quality assurance (QA) and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations</li><li>Support and mentor junior and intermediate engineers</li><li>Undertake site inspections, commissioning support, and technical reviews</li><li>Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams including mechanical and BIM</li></ul><strong> Technical Skills</strong><ul><li>Low Voltage (LV) distribution and switchgear design</li><li>Cable sizing and calculations (Amtech, ElectricalOM)</li><li>Generator systems, transformers, and UPS systems</li><li>Lighting design (Dialux, Relux)</li><li>Fire alarm systems and life safety systems</li><li>High Voltage (HV) infrastructure and private networks</li><li>CAD software and BIM / Revit coordination</li></ul><strong> Requirements</strong><ul><li>Minimum 5+ years electrical building services design experience</li><li>Proven experience in project leadership and team coordination</li><li>Membership with CIBSE or IET, or working towards membership</li><li>Working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status</li><li>Experience delivering projects across multiple sectors within building services</li></ul><strong> Benefits</strong><ul><li>Competitive salary (dependent on experience)</li><li>Flexible and hybrid working arrangements</li><li>Private medical insurance</li><li>Company reward scheme</li><li>Wellbeing initiatives and incentives</li><li>Structured career progression</li><li>Mentoring and support towards Chartered Engineer status</li></ul><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?RINZcmghf3eQQ0%2bWogI7qNTHxyg%2fd5z%2fx" width="0" height="0" />
