<p><strong>Senior DevOps Consultant - Contract</strong></p><p><strong>Remote (occasional travel to Leeds - 1-2 days per month)</strong><strong> £470 per day inside IR35</strong><strong> Clearance: BPSS</strong></p><p><strong>3 months rolling </strong></p><p>We are currently seeking an experienced <strong>Senior DevOps Consultant</strong> to support the recovery and delivery of a critical digital programme. This role will focus on revitalising a stalled project through a structured, outcome-driven approach.</p><p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p><p>The engagement will follow a two-phase delivery model:</p><p><strong>Phase 1 - Discovery & Validation (Initial 4 weeks):</strong></p><ul><li>Conduct a comprehensive audit of technical debt</li><li>Align stakeholders and assess governance and compliance gaps</li><li>Review platform security and operational setup</li><li>Develop a roadmap for a Minimum Viable Product (MVP)</li></ul><p><strong>Phase 2 - Recovery & Delivery Plan:</strong></p><ul><li>Present a clear recovery strategy outlining what to stop, start, and continue</li><li>Drive technical readiness for Beta assessment</li><li>Prioritise API development using a risk-based approach</li><li>Establish a sustainable operating model for long-term delivery</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions</li><li>Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines</li><li>Enhance platform observability and monitoring</li><li>Drive secure, scalable cloud platform delivery</li><li>Ensure environments meet compliance and governance standards</li></ul><p><strong>Required Skills & Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Strong experience with <strong>Azure DevOps at scale</strong></li><li>Expertise in <strong>Terraform</strong>, <strong>Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions</strong></li><li>Knowledge of <strong>Azure Monitor, Key Vault, and networking (Private Endpoints)</strong></li><li>Proven background in <strong>cloud security, CI/CD, observability, and deployment automation</strong></li><li>Experience delivering within <strong>secure and regulated environments</strong> (e.g. government / healthcare)</li></ul><p><strong>Success Criteria</strong></p><ul><li>Delivery of a secure, scalable platform aligned to <strong>government and GDPR standards</strong></li><li>Strong data integrity and security controls</li><li>Performance readiness for public Beta at scale</li><li>Accessibility compliance aligned to <strong>WCAG 2.1 AA standards</strong></li></ul><p></p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?50N8xKcU4F3Q8GG0gtMwB0bMhvoBjeakd" width="0" height="0" />
