<p></p><strong>Experienced SEN Outreach Tutor (Buckinghamshire)</strong><strong>ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY</strong><p>Prospero Teaching is recruiting an <strong>experienced SEN Outreach Tutor</strong> to deliver bespoke 1:1 education packages to children and young people with Special Educational Needs who are currently out of mainstream education in <strong>Buckinghamshire</strong>.</p><p>This role involves carefully planning and delivering <strong>highly personalised learning programmes</strong> that meet individual educational, emotional, and behavioural needs. Many pupils may have been out of education for a significant period and could present with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or moderate learning difficulties.</p><p>This position is ideal for a <strong>skilled and confident SEN professional</strong> seeking a flexible, part-time role away from the classroom, where they can make a genuine difference through tailored, relationship-focused teaching. You will be responsible for rebuilding confidence, establishing routines, and supporting pupils to re-engage positively with learning.</p><p>Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to track progress, support planning, and ensure each pupil's programme remains effective and responsive.</p><strong>CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS</strong><ul><li><strong>Location:</strong> Buckinghamshire</li><li><strong>Position:</strong> SEN Outreach Tutor</li><li><strong>Type of Work:</strong> Temporary / Contract</li><li><strong>Start Date:</strong> ASAP</li><li><strong>Hours:</strong> 10-15 hours per week</li><li><strong>Session Length:</strong> 1-3 hours per session</li><li><strong>Rate of Pay:</strong> From <strong>£25 per hour</strong> (dependent on experience)</li><li><strong>Working Pattern:</strong> Flexible, term-time</li></ul><strong>EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS</strong><ul><li>QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification</li><li><strong>Extensive experience</strong> working with children and young people with SEN</li><li>Proven experience delivering 1:1 or small-group tuition</li><li>Strong knowledge of differentiation, behaviour management, and trauma-informed practice</li><li>Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable but not essential)</li></ul><strong>TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:</strong><ul><li>Have the Right to Work in the UK</li><li>Hold an <strong>enhanced DBS</strong> certificate on the child barred list (update service preferred) or be willing to apply for one</li><li>Provide <strong>two professional child-related references</strong> covering the last two years</li></ul><strong>WHY WORK WITH PROSPERO TEACHING?</strong><ul><li>Access to <strong>accredited CPD</strong>, including safeguarding and behaviour management</li><li>Support from an experienced In-House Training and Development Team</li><li>Ongoing consultant support and carefully matched placements</li></ul><p>If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with an <strong>up-to-date CV</strong>.
