We are looking for an exceptional <strong>SEN Teacher</strong> to join our dedicated team in <strong>Leyland</strong>.</p><p>This is a <strong>full-time (5 days a week)</strong> role within a specialist setting supporting pupils with <strong>Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC)</strong> and <strong>Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH)</strong> needs. We need a teacher who looks beyond the behaviour to find the potential underneath.</p><p><strong>The Role: A Different Kind of Classroom</strong></p><p>In this position, no two days are the same. You will be teaching a small group of pupils who require a bespoke, nurture-heavy approach to learning. Your focus will be on:</p><ul><li><strong>Inclusive Curriculum:</strong> Creating engaging, differentiated lessons that accommodate sensory needs and emotional regulation.</li><li><strong>Relationship Building:</strong> Developing strong, trusting bonds with pupils to help them navigate social and emotional challenges.</li><li><strong>Positive Behaviour Support:</strong> Implementing trauma-informed practices and de-escalation strategies to create a safe learning space.</li><li><strong>Collaboration:</strong> Working closely with a team of specialist support staff and external therapists to deliver holistic care.</li></ul><p><strong>Who We Are Looking For</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Qualified Teacher Status (QTS):</strong> Primary or Secondary background.
