<p>We are seeking a dedicated and passionate <strong>SEN Teacher</strong> to join a specialist SEN school. This is an exciting opportunity for an <strong>SEN Teacher</strong> who is committed to inclusive practice and making a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people with special educational needs.</p><p></p><p><strong>About the Role </strong></p><p>As an SEN Teacher, you will work with pupils aged 9-16 who present with a range of special educational needs, including social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). The SEN Teacher will deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching in a small-class environment, supporting pupils to achieve both academically and emotionally.</p><p>The successful SEN Teacher will be resilient, reflective and highly motivated, with a strong understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to learning.</p><p></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities of the SEN Teacher</strong></p><ul><li>Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons as an SEN Teacher to meet individual pupil needs.</li><li>Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with EHCPs and complex needs.</li><li>Track, assess and report on pupil progress as part of the SEN Teacher role.</li><li>Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, the SENCo, leadership staff and external professionals.</li><li>Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation using consistent, supportive strategies.</li><li>Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and their families.</li><li>Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and contribute to a safe learning environment.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>About You - SEN Teacher</strong></p><p>We are looking for an SEN Teacher who:</p><ul><li>Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.</li><li>Has experience working with pupils with SEN, or a strong desire to develop as an SEN Teacher.</li><li>Demonstrates patience, empathy and adaptability.</li><li>Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.</li><li>Is committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing.</li><li>Understands (or is keen to learn about) SEMH and trauma-informed practice.</li></ul><p>Experience in a specialist or alternative provision is desirable but not essential for the right SEN Teacher.</p><p></p><p><strong>What the school offers</strong></p><ul><li>Small class sizes and high levels of support.</li><li>A collaborative and supportive staff team.</li><li>Ongoing professional development and SEN-focused training.</li><li>Opportunities for career progression within specialist education.</li><li>A rewarding role where your impact as an SEN Teacher is truly visible.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong><em>Not quite the right role for you?
