<p><u><b>Sales Support Technician - Irrigation & Slurry.</b></u></p> <p><b>Location:</b> Field-based across the UK with overseas travel<br /> <b>Company:</b> BAUER GmbH (Irrigation & Slurry Management)<br /> <b>Contract:</b> Full-time, Permanent</p> <p><u><b>Shape smarter water & nutrient management for UK agriculture.</b></u></p> <p>BAUER delivers premium solutions in irrigation (e.g., RAINSTAR hose-reel machines and CENTERSTAR pivots) and slurry technology (separators, pumps, mixers). We're growing our UK team with a hands-on sales technician who loves solving problems on farm and keeps customers running smoothly.</p> <p><u><b>What you'll do</b></u></p> <p>Install, commission & maintain hose-reel irrigators (RAINSTAR), pivots/linears (CENTERSTAR/LINESTAR), pumps and control systems.</p> <p>Service and repair slurry equipment: separators, agitators, pumps, pipework & couplings.</p> <p>Conduct on-site demonstrations of Bauer products - including tankers, separators, and irrigation systems - to support dealers and customers.</p> <p>Diagnose mechanical/electrical faults (3-phase motors, drives, sensors), update firmware & controllers, and configure SmartRain telemetry.</p> <p>Deliver dealer training; complete clear service reports and parts recommendations.</p> <p>Collaborate with the UK team and dealer partners to keep downtime to a minimum.</p> <p>Support international projects and training - travel to Bauer sites and customer installations overseas will be required from time to time.</p> <p><u><b>What you'll bring</b></u></p> <p>Apprenticeship or qualification in Agricultural/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (or strong field experience).</p> <p>Solid hands-on experience with ag machinery, pumps, hydraulics, or rotating equipment; confident with 12/24V and 230/400V systems.</p> <p>Fault-finding mindset, safe working habits, and great customer communication.</p> <p>Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel/stay away when needed.</p> <p><u><b>Nice-to-haves</b></u></p> <p>Experience on irrigation reels/pivots or slurry separators (e.g., BAUER S-series or FAN screw press).</p> <p>Basic PLC/HMI or VFD knowledge; telemetry/IoT familiarity (e.g., SmartRain).</p> <p><u><b>What you'll get</b></u></p> <p>Competitive salary.</p> <p>Fully equipped service van, tools, PPE, laptop & phone.</p> <p>Manufacturer training & progression within a global group.</p> <p><u><b>About BAUER</b></u></p> <p>Founded in 1930 in Austria, <b>BAUER Group</b> is a world leader in <b>irrigation, slurry, and waste management technology</b> - trusted by farmers in over 100 countries.
