<p><strong>RAN Design Engineer - Indoor Solutions </strong></p><p><strong>My client, a leading telecoms company is looking for an experienced </strong><strong>RAN</strong><strong>Design Specialist - Indoor Solutions. </strong>The role is responsible for creating bespoke indoor mobile network (RAN) designs for challenging and high-demand environments such as stadiums, transport hubs, tunnels, buildings, and major events. The role ensures reliable, high-quality 4G/5G service for their customers by delivering accurate, compliant, and timely indoor coverage solutions.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Design venue-specific <strong>RAN indoor solutions</strong> using design standards and processes.</li><li>Select appropriate <strong>DAS, Neutral Host, Femto</strong>, and transmission technologies based on venue capacity, reliability, and cost requirements.</li><li>Ensure all solutions use approved products from the <strong>NPI</strong> catalogue.</li><li>Specify 4G/5G indoor solutions across licensed and unlicensed spectrum.</li><li>Support network performance investigations related to KPIs or customer complaints.</li><li>Maintain compliance with safety, statutory, and regulatory policies.</li><li>Continuously improve design methodologies and internal processes.</li><li>Contribute to Scope of Works documents for bespoke solutions.</li><li>Support trials of new indoor technologies before wider rollout</li></ul><p><strong>Skills Needed</strong></p><ul><li>Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to challenge issues to deliver outcomes.</li><li>Effective teamwork and collaboration across geographically dispersed teams.</li><li>Broad knowledge of <strong>RAN architecture</strong>, coverage and capacity planning, and vendor technologies.</li><li>Strong communication skills (written and verbal).</li><li>Analytical capability to evaluate data and build clear cases for change or improvement.</li><li>Vendor management experience to ensure cost-effective, timely solution delivery</li></ul><p><strong>Experience Required</strong></p><p><strong>Mandatory</strong></p><ul><li>5+ years' experience in <strong>mobile RAN design</strong>.</li><li>Proven experience with Nokia, Huawei, Ericsson, or <strong>DAS</strong> product-based design.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred</strong></p><ul><li>Experience managing relationships at all organisational levels.</li><li>Background in major indoor RAN projects for <strong>airports, rail, MoD, ESN</strong>, etc.</li><li>Experience with RAN upgrades or decommissioning.</li></ul><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?G5Q9wNewzuPE7CP5UClBivXtmj9d4kxMm" width="0" height="0" />
