<p><strong>RF Design Engineer (Electronics / GPS Focus)Leicester (Onsite)£</strong></p><p>We are working with a <strong>global technology-led organisation</strong> delivering advanced monitoring and security solutions, seeking an experienced <strong>RF Design Engineer</strong> to join their growing engineering team.</p><p>This is a <strong>high-impact product development role</strong>, where you will play a key part in designing and developing <strong>RF-based embedded hardware</strong>, with a particular focus on <strong>low-power wireless and GPS technologies</strong>.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>You'll be responsible for the <strong>design, development and testing of RF electronics</strong> across both existing products and next-generation solutions.Key responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Designing and developing <strong>RF embedded hardware</strong> for wireless devices</li><li>Working across the full lifecycle: <strong>concept design test approval</strong></li><li>Developing solutions focused on <strong>low-power, microcontroller-driven systems</strong></li><li>Supporting <strong>RF testing, simulation, and performance optimisation</strong></li><li>Collaborating with firmware, production and wider engineering teams</li><li>Ensuring designs meet <strong>regulatory and approval requirements</strong></li><li>Supporting manufacturing, testing and product release</li></ul><p><strong>This is a technically demanding role - strong RF experience is essential.</strong></p><p><strong>Must-have:</strong></p><ul><li>Proven experience in <strong>RF electronics design in a commercial environment</strong></li><li>Strong knowledge of <strong>low-power wireless systems and/or GPS technologies</strong><em>(critical - key gap in previous candidates)</em></li><li>Experience with <strong>embedded systems and microcontrollers</strong></li><li>Solid understanding of <strong>RF simulation, testing and validation</strong></li><li>Experience with <strong>PCB design tools (Altium preferred)</strong></li><li>Strong fundamentals across <strong>electronics and hardware engineering</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Nice to have:</strong></p><ul><li>Embedded C / firmware exposure</li><li>Experience in <strong>high-volume product development</strong></li><li>Familiarity with <strong>regulatory/type approval processes</strong></li></ul><p>Please note:</p><ul><li>Candidates must have <strong>hands-on RF design experience (not just theoretical)</strong></li><li>GPS and/or wireless communication expertise will be a key differentiator</li><li>Due to the nature of the work, candidates must meet <strong>UK residency requirements</strong></li><li><strong>Active SC Clearance is required</strong> (or eligibility to obtain it)</li></ul><p>If you are interested in the role and meet the requirements outlined, please apply using the link provided.</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?KmGIYyL1tv7a2K3z%2blGOGHx1%2f%2fqJ6Hhuu" width="0" height="0" />
