<strong>Project Manager</strong><strong>Overview</strong><p>We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced <strong>Project Manager</strong> to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage projects for a global leader in engineered noise control products and solutions. Based in Southampton, this role offers a dynamic and challenging environment with opportunities for professional growth.</p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><p>As a Project Manager, you will:</p><ol><li><p><strong>Project Management</strong></p><ul><li>Lead all aspects of project delivery from initiation to completion and handover.</li><li>Ensure scope, schedule, and budget targets are met.</li><li>Identify risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies.</li></ul></li><li><p><strong>Communication & Coordination</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams and customers.</li><li>Coordinate design, scheduling, logistics, delivery, installation, snagging, and commissioning activities.</li><li>Liaise with trade contractors to ensure seamless project delivery.</li></ul></li><li><p><strong>Documentation & Technical Submittals</strong></p><ul><li>Prepare technical submittals, method statements, O&M manuals, and subcontract purchase specifications.</li><li>Raise purchase requisitions and maintain effective communication with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and clients.</li></ul></li><li><p><strong>Financial Management</strong></p><ul><li>Manage project finances to maximise profitability and maintain positive cash flow.</li><li>Prepare applications for payment, invoices, cost reports, and cost-to-complete forecasts.</li><li>Oversee supply chain purchase orders and authorise payments.</li></ul></li><li><p><strong>Compliance & Systems Management</strong></p><ul><li>Adhere to company processes, procedures, and customer contractual commitments.</li><li>Maintain accurate internal systems and promote best practices in safety, quality, and continuous improvement.</li></ul></li></ol><strong>Qualifications</strong><p><strong>Essential:</strong></p><ul><li>Proven project management experience, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, construction, acoustics, or a similar technical environment.</li><li>Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Financial acumen with experience in cost control and forecasting.</li><li>Customer-focused mindset with strong commercial awareness.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Excel.</li></ul><p><strong>Desirable:</strong></p><ul><li>Engineering HNC or equivalent technical qualification.</li><li>Recognised construction safety training and/or qualifications.</li><li>Professional project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).</li><li>Manufacturing experience within a sheet metal environment.</li></ul><strong>Day-to-Day</strong><ul><li>Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.</li><li>Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of milestones.</li><li>Prepare and review technical and financial documentation.</li><li>Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure project success.</li><li>Address challenges proactively and implement solutions effectively.</li></ul><strong>Benefits</strong><ul><li>Competitive salary of £38,000 - £40,000 per year.</li><li>Car allowance of £470 per month.</li><li>25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 30 days after 5 years of service.</li><li>Company pension scheme.</li><li>On-site parking.</li></ul><p>For more information, please contact <strong>Amir Gharaati</strong> at <strong>Penguin Recruitment</strong>.</p><p></p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?tW23EVguxUVR96ZV7sTebBM54QZ0LCxVa" width="0" height="0" />
