<p>Temporary Housekeeping Porter</p><p><strong>£12.71 per hour Full-time Immediate start</strong></p><p>We are currently seeking a <strong>reliable and hardworking Housekeeping Porter</strong> to join a busy Estates & Services environment on a <strong>temporary basis</strong>. The role plays a key part in maintaining high standards across the site, supporting the Housekeeping team and wider facilities operation.</p><p>The Role</p><p>Working as part of the Housekeeping Portering team, you will provide essential porterage and outdoor maintenance support to ensure services are delivered to a consistently high standard. Duties include waste management, laundry movements, external cleaning, and general site support as directed by the Events & Facilities Manager.</p><p>Key Duties & Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Laundry delivery and collection for boarding houses</li><li>Rubbish and recycling collection across the site and correct disposal, including use of waste compactors</li><li>Supervision and upkeep of the central waste & recycling compound, including disposal of bulk items</li><li>Sweeping and general maintenance of all external areas</li><li>Removal of cobwebs and debris from building exteriors</li><li>Cleaning of external paintwork to stretch height</li><li>External window cleaning at lower levels</li><li>Use of high-pressure washer for paths, buildings and chewing gum removal</li><li>Delivery of cleaning materials and disposables to Housekeeping staff as required</li><li>Assisting with furniture moves when needed</li><li>Responding to task requests as directed by the Events & Facilities Manager</li><li>Supporting the Housekeeping Department during peak periods</li><li>Reporting incidents, accidents, damage or irregularities promptly</li><li>Attending required training and meetings</li></ul><p>Hours & Working Pattern</p><ul><li><strong>Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm</strong></li><li><strong>37.5 paid hours per week</strong>, including a <strong>15-minute paid tea break</strong> and <strong>30-minute unpaid lunch break</strong></li><li>Participation in a <strong>weekend rota during term time</strong> (approximately 10 weekends per year), <strong>7:00am - 12:00pm</strong></li></ul><p>What We're Looking For</p><ul><li>Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions</li><li>Physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks</li><li>Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team</li><li>Awareness of health & safety procedures</li><li>Previous porter, facilities, caretaking or housekeeping experience desirable but not essential</li></ul><p>Pay</p><ul><li><strong>£12.71 per hour</strong></li></ul><p>This is a <strong>temporary full-time opportunity</strong> ideal for candidates with a strong work ethic who take pride in maintaining high standards.</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?DLlfkpzUkdA0gIlFgE9iNrUPfum49Gbkh" width="0" height="0" />
