<p><strong>Plumbing and Heating Engineer</strong></p><p><strong>Salary:</strong> £46,000 per annum</p><p><strong>Contract:</strong> Permanent</p><p><strong>Hours:</strong> 42 hours per week</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Kent (field-based with an office base in West Kent)</p><p><strong>Driving licence:</strong> Required (company van provided)</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>An established housing and property organisation is seeking a skilled and customer-focused <strong>Plumbing and Heating Engineer</strong> to join its in-house repairs and maintenance team. The role focuses on delivering safe, compliant and high-quality gas, heating and plumbing services across residential properties and associated sites.</p><p>You will be responsible for fault diagnosis, servicing, repairs and installations of gas and wet heating systems, alongside general plumbing works. Safety, first-time fix, and excellent customer service are core expectations of the role.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Carry out gas servicing, breakdowns, repairs and new installations</li><li>Undertake plumbing repairs and fault diagnosis</li><li>Work in full compliance with Gas Safe regulations, health and safety legislation, and industry best practice</li><li>Deliver a positive customer experience at every visit</li><li>Maintain high first-time completion rates through effective van stock management</li><li>Accurately complete job records using mobile technology</li><li>Liaise effectively with planners, managers and colleagues to resolve service issues</li><li>Keep qualifications, certifications and technical knowledge up to date</li><li>Take ownership of personal performance, productivity and continuous improvement</li></ul><p><strong>Performance Expectations</strong></p><ul><li>Jobs completed on time and within service targets</li><li>Productivity equivalent to approximately eight jobs per day</li><li>Qualifications maintained and compliant at all times</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Experience & Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum <strong>3 years' experience</strong> in gas servicing, breakdowns or installation (training included)</li><li>Plumbing experience (minimum Level 2 or equivalent)</li><li>Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability</li><li>Confident using tablets and mobile job-management systems</li><li>Ability to work accurately, methodically and under pressure</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both face-to-face and by phone</li><li>Strong understanding of health & safety and dynamic risk assessments</li><li>Customer-focused approach with a commitment to equality and diversity</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Current <strong>Gas Safe registration</strong>, including: </li><li>CCN1 - Core Gas Safety</li><li>CPA1 - Combustion Analysis</li><li>CKR1 - Cookers</li><li>HTR1 - Space Heaters</li><li>CEN1 - Central Heating</li><li><strong>Unvented Hot Water (DHWSS)</strong></li><li><strong>NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing</strong> (or equivalent)</li><li>Full UK driving licence</li><li>Basic DBS check required</li></ul><p></p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?tnOcX87vYBus4jIi2c2Bv0%2fDaMfTSnn5p" width="0" height="0" />
