Plant and Agricultural Engineer (min 3 years experience)

Job description <br /><br />We are looking for an experienced engineer to work on mainly plant machinery but some agricultural machinery from a plate compactor to a 13T excavator. 50% of work is on site working from a van the other in our workshops. Work involves servicing, diagnostics and repairs of all plant.<br /><br /> Requirements of Plant/Agricultural Engineer role <br /><br /> You will have experience as an engineer or mechanic.<br /> You will have an understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, and electrics.<br /> You will have a understanding of modern vehicle computing technology.<br /> You will have a understanding of hydraulic and electrical schematic drawings to assist in procedure for diagnostics.<br /> You will have at least some welding competence, and a willingness to undertake professional training.<br /> You will have fantastic attention to detail and will check measurements and dimensions of each piece thoroughly to ensure accuracy.<br /> You will be competent in using fabrication machines including grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, shears, and flame cutters to cut, bend, grind and adjust materials.<br /> You will be able to comprehend drawings and work specifications.<br /> You will be a driven, self-motivated person who is able to plan, prioritise and manage their own workload.<br /> You will be confident in your own abilities and decision-making.<br /> You will be an enthusiastic team-player.<br /> You will have a current driving license.<br /> A forklift license is desirable.<br /><br /> About Machine Serve <br /><br /> Machine Serve specialises in the sales and servicing of plant and agricultural machinery, particularly excavators and associated attachments.<br /> We are proud to supply and service leading brands in the trade such as Yanmar, MultiOne, Ghedini, Orsi, Digga, Arrowhead and more.<br /> We are a well-established business with a fun and friendly team.
