<p><strong>Pharmacy Assistant - Antrim (Immediate Start)</strong></p> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Antrim<br /> <strong>Duration:</strong> Up to 6 months initially<br /> <strong>Hours:</strong> Up to 37.5 hours per week<br /> <strong>Salary:</strong> £12.71 per hour<br /> <strong>Start Date:</strong> ASAP</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable <strong>Pharmacy Assistant</strong> to join our team in Antrim. Working under the supervision of Senior Assistants, Technicians, and Pharmacists, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, efficient, and responsive pharmacy service to meet customer and patient needs.</p> <p><strong>Training & Development</strong></p> <p>The successful candidate may be required to undertake the <strong>Pearson Level 2 Certificate in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Support Staff</strong>, delivered at South Eastern Regional College (Bangor/Lisburn campus) one day per month over 12 months. Additional self-directed study will also be required.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Receive, check, and store pharmacy stock in line with SOPs</li> <li>Accurately process deliveries using the EPIC system</li> <li>Support ward "top-up" services, including stock rotation and expiry management</li> <li>Assemble and distribute ward orders, requisitions, and bulk issues</li> <li>Maintain pharmacy stock levels and assist with stock checks</li> <li>Provide excellent customer service at reception and via telephone</li> <li>Dispense and pre-pack medicines in line with procedures</li> <li>Assist with supply and distribution of pharmaceuticals, dressings, and vaccines</li> <li>Deliver medications and supplies to wards and departments</li> <li>Process returned stock in accordance with procedures</li> <li>Support aseptic unit cleaning and preparation</li> <li>Operate pharmacy robotic systems (training provided)</li> <li>Ensure compliance with health & safety, infection control, and medicines regulations</li> <li>Maintain accurate records and documentation</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>5 GCSEs (Grade A-G), including <strong>English Language and Mathematics (Grade C or above)</strong><br /> <strong>OR</strong></li> <li>NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Pharmacy Support</li> </ul> <p> Candidates without the Level 2 qualification will be required to complete it if successful.</p> <p>To apply please send your CV via the link</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?8BtgX7rrSYEB2kFlpCigSQyx3wxYYYPAy" width="0" height="0" />
