As Performance, Insight & Reporting Manager you will support the Director of Performance & Delivery in the strategic delivery of various data analytics, KPI metrics and insight reporting to regulatory / statutory bodies.</p><p><strong>Client Details</strong></p><p>NHS Organisation</p><p><strong>Description</strong></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong></p><p><em>Leadership of the Performance Function: </em></p><ul><li>Provide day-to-day leadership and coordination of the Performance team, ensuring high standards of accuracy, insight and delivery.</li><li>Lead the development and improvement of performance reporting frameworks, KPIs, dashboards and monitoring tools.</li><li>Ensure high-quality data assurance, governance and validation processes are in place.</li><li>Lead the modernisation of performance reporting by introducing digital, automated and innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and provide real-time insight.</li></ul><p><em>Directorate Support & Cross-Functional Working:</em></p><ul><li>Work collaboratively with Heads of Department to ensure performance insight and systems support operational effectiveness and digital delivery.</li><li>Support strategic and operational planning through provision of analysis, insight and performance intelligence.</li><li>Provide cross-functional coordination, joining up data, systems and operational processes to enable improved service delivery.</li></ul><p><em>Performance, Quality & Compliance:</em></p><ul><li>Oversee compliance monitoring and evidence gathering required for contractual, regulatory and statutory bodies (e.g., NHS England, ICBs, CQC).</li><li>Ensure organisational policies, processes and standards are followed and regularly reviewed.</li><li>Produce high-quality performance, assurance and compliance reporting for senior leadership, committees and external stakeholders.</li></ul><p><em>Audit, Risk & Assurance: </em></p><ul><li>Lead the audit programme covering quality improvement audits, national/local audits and responsive audits arising from incidents.</li><li>Ensure audit outcomes translate into actionable improvement plans and monitor delivery to completion.</li><li>Support organisational risk management processes by providing analysis, evidence and assurance as required.</li></ul><p><em>Programme & Project Support: </em></p><ul><li>Support the Director in delivering key strategic and operational programmes across the directorate.</li><li>Lead assigned projects and workstreams, ensuring progress, risk management, delivery and evaluation.</li><li>Provide data, insight, problem-solving and assurance support to cross-departmental projects.</li><li>Develop digital dashboards and analytical tools that provide clear oversight of programme, project and service activity.</li></ul><p><em>Relationship Management & Communication </em></p><ul><li>Build effective, collaborative relationships across the Directorate and wider organisation, and maintain strong, constructive partnerships with external stakeholders involved in quality and performance oversight, including ICBs, CQC and NHS England.</li><li>Present performance and improvement information clearly to colleagues at all levels, adapting style to audience.</li><li>Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support compliance, reporting and assurance requirements.</li></ul><p><em>People Leadership & Culture:</em></p><ul><li>Provide day-to-day line management and development for Performance and Delivery team members.</li><li>Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability and high performance across the Directorate.</li><li>Support staff in developing skills in data interpretation, systems use and improvement methodologies.</li></ul><p><strong>Profile</strong></p><p><strong>Key Skills & Experience: </strong></p><p></p><ul><li>Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Health Management, Business, Data Analytics, Public Health).</li><li>Evidence of continuous professional development</li><li>relevant to performance, quality, or data management.</li><li>Understanding of healthcare systems, NHS structures, and regulatory frameworks (CQC, ICBs, NHS England).</li><li>Experience working with digital reporting tools and dashboards.</li><li>Experience in data analysis, insight generation, and performance reporting to support decision making.</li><li>Experience in compliance, audit, or assurance aligned with statutory, regulatory, or contractual requirements.</li><li>Experience in project/programme management, including planning, risk management, and delivery of transformation initiatives</li><li>Qualification or formal training in data, analytics, or performance measurement</li><li>Advanced training or certification in data tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, SQL)</li><li>Leadership or people management qualification
