<p><strong>Operating Systems LeadRemote with some office work (Norwich)£</strong></p><p>This is a senior role for someone who cares deeply about <strong>how a business actually works</strong>.</p><p>The Operating Systems Lead owns the internal operating system: the workflows, systems, controls, information flows and ways of working that enable a fast-growing organisation to run clearly, safely and reliably.</p><p>You're not here to write strategy decks or refresh tools for the sake of it.You're here to <strong>observe how work really happens</strong>, find where things break under pressure, and redesign the system so it holds as the business scales.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Owning and improving the organisation's <strong>internal operating system</strong> - across workflows, systems, data, governance and behaviours</li><li>Leading a business-wide systems review and improvement programme, starting with <strong>listening</strong>, understanding risks and friction, then making practical improvements real</li><li>Identifying the <strong>highest-friction workflows</strong> and redesigning them end-to-end so they are clearer, simpler and more reliable</li><li>Making sure changes <strong>stick in practice</strong> - not just launched, but used and trusted</li><li>Improving how information flows and creating clearer <strong>sources of truth</strong>, reducing duplication and reliance on memory or heroics</li><li>Embedding controls, governance and risk management <strong>into normal work</strong>, without slowing people down</li><li>Introducing automation or AI <strong>where it genuinely helps</strong>, and redesigning workflows so human judgement and accountability remain clear</li><li>Working closely with enablement and communications colleagues so new ways of working are understood, adopted and reinforced</li><li>Acting as a calm, critical systems thinker in a fast-paced environment - helping prioritise what really matters and resisting unnecessary change</li></ul><p><strong>What success looks like</strong></p><ul><li>Workflows are easier to follow and more consistent</li><li>Less manual work, duplication and workaround behaviour</li><li>Systems support real work, not idealised processes</li><li>Governance works without adding drag</li><li>New ways of working are <strong>used consistently</strong>, even under pressure</li><li>Nothing important relies on individual memory or heroics</li></ul><p><strong>Skills and Experience</strong></p><p>This role suits someone who has:</p><ul><li>Led <strong>business operations, operating model, or systems transformation</strong> at a senior level</li><li>Improved how work gets done <strong>across teams</strong>, not just within one function</li><li>Strong judgement and calm thinking in ambiguous, fast-moving environments</li><li>Experience balancing pace, usability, risk and control</li><li>A track record of <strong>making change stick</strong>, not just delivering programmes</li><li>Comfort influencing senior stakeholders without hiding behind process or authority</li><li>An interest in AI and automation that is practical, not novelty-driven</li></ul><p>Experience in professional services, scaling organisations, regulated or high-trust environments is particularly valuable.</p><p><strong>If this role is of interest, please apply using the link provided. </strong></p><p></p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?p4QwZ6nBSKn4RC%2fa%2bzF%2fKdPoy9fdxHF%2be" width="0" height="0" />
