<p><strong>Job Title:</strong> Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias Ideally)</p><p><strong>Salary:</strong> £48,000<strong>Shift Pattern:</strong> Continental Shift Pattern</p><p><strong>Overview:</strong>We are seeking a skilled and proactive <strong>Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer</strong> with an<strong> Electrical bias</strong> to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining production and ancillary equipment, ensuring all machinery operates safely, efficiently, and at optimum performance. This role involves fault finding, repairs, preventative maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement within the production environment.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Carry out <strong>fault finding, repairs, and maintenance</strong> on production and ancillary equipment.</p></li><li><p>Maintain and troubleshoot <strong>PLC systems</strong> and control equipment.</p></li><li><p>Diagnose and repair issues on <strong>pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, mixers, grinders, sensors, and relays</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on <strong>hydraulic and pneumatic systems</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Conduct <strong>routine inspections</strong> to identify faults, wear, or potential failures.</p></li><li><p>Repair defects where possible or <strong>report issues to management</strong> when further action is required.</p></li><li><p>Work closely with <strong>production and engineering teams</strong> to minimise downtime and maintain operational efficiency.</p></li><li><p>Support <strong>continuous improvement initiatives</strong> to enhance maintenance service delivery.</p></li><li><p>Ensure all work is carried out in line with <strong>health & safety standards</strong> and company procedures.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications / Experience (Essential):</strong></p><ul><li><p>Proven experience as a <strong>Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer</strong> in a manufacturing or production environment.</p></li><li><p>Strong <strong>electrical fault-finding skills</strong> with a 60/40 electrical bias.</p></li><li><p>Experience working with <strong>PLC fault finding and control systems</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge and hands-on experience with <strong>mechanical equipment</strong> including pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, mixers, and grinders.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with <strong>hydraulics and pneumatics systems</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Ability to diagnose faults quickly and carry out effective repairs.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Background & Personal Attributes:</strong></p><ul><li><p>A <strong>proactive and hands-on approach</strong> to maintenance.</p></li><li><p><strong>Strong problem-solving skills</strong> and ability to work under pressure.</p></li><li><p><strong>Willingness to learn and develop</strong> within the role.</p></li><li><p>Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.</p></li><li><p>Experience within <strong>food manufacturing or food packaging environments</strong> is desirable.</p></li></ul><p><strong>What We're Looking For:</strong>A motivated engineer who can contribute to maintaining high production standards while supporting the maintenance department in delivering an efficient and reliable service to the business.</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?50N8xKcU4F1F1wgLOAjn39ayQhuoWMf5d" width="0" height="0" />
