We are seeking a talented professional to join our clients team and contribute to their mission of providing best-in-class solutions that exceed industry standards.</p><p>This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, manage end-to-end processes, and make a meaningful impact in the field of building services engineering.</p><strong>Benefits</strong><ul><li>Competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000.</li><li>Opportunities for professional growth and development.</li><li>A supportive and collaborative work environment.</li><li>The chance to work on innovative and sustainable projects across various sectors.</li><li>Exposure to cutting-edge technologies and methodologies in building services engineering.</li></ul><strong>Day-to-Day</strong><ul><li>Designing and developing innovative electrical systems for a variety of building types.</li><li>Conducting site visits to assess existing systems and gather data for project planning.</li><li>Collaborating with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.</li><li>Preparing detailed technical reports, schematics, and design proposals.</li><li>Ensuring all designs comply with UK regulations and industry standards.</li><li>Managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.</li></ul><strong>Responsibilities</strong><ul><li><strong>Electrical Design:</strong> Develop electrical layouts for commercial and residential buildings, including power distribution, lighting & lighting control systems, and life safety systems.</li><li><strong>Site Surveys:</strong> Conduct independent site surveys to assess existing systems, gather technical data, and create detailed reports and schematics with actionable recommendations.</li><li><strong>System Design:</strong> Design lighting, CCTV, telecoms, and fire alarm systems.</li><li><strong>Client Liaison:</strong> Confidently present design proposals and reports to clients, explaining technical aspects in clear, non-technical terms. Collaborate with developers, architects, contractors, and designers to ensure project success.</li><li><strong>Project Collaboration:</strong> Work closely with project managers, senior engineers, and other team members to ensure timely project delivery while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.</li><li><strong>Regulatory Compliance:</strong> Ensure all designs meet UK regulations and industry standards, including LET Wiring Regulations, CIBSE guidelines, and BSRIA guides.</li></ul><strong>Qualifications</strong><p>To be successful in this role, you will need:</p><ul><li>A degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).</li><li>3-5+ years of experience in UK building services.</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux or Relux, and other relevant design software.</li><li>Strong understanding of UK building regulations and standards.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical designs and reports to clients and stakeholders.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li><li>Effective client-facing communication and presentation skills.</li><li>A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.</li></ul><p>Sound interesting?
