<p><strong>Level 2 & 3 Teaching Assistants</strong></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> South London-Surrey border<strong>Start:</strong> May or September 2026<strong>Contracts:</strong> Full-time & part-time (flexible)</p><p><strong>About the role:</strong> We're working with friendly, well-regarded primary schools and nurseries across the South London-Surrey border area, offering short-term, long-term, and temporary roles.</p><p>You'll support pupils from Nursery to Year 6, mainly on a 1:1 or small group basis, including children with mild to moderate SEND.</p><p><strong>What you'll do:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide 1:1 and small group support (mainly EYFS/KS1)</li><li>Help pupils with SEND access learning and build confidence</li><li>Support the class teacher and classroom routines</li><li>Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment</li><li>Work with teachers and SEN staff to track progress</li><li>Prepare learning resources and activities</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant (or relevant childcare/EYFS qualification)</li><li>Experience in a UK primary school</li><li>Experience supporting pupils with SEND (especially 1:1)</li><li>Strong communication, patience, and flexibility</li><li>Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)</li></ul><p><strong>Acceptable qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Level 2 Early Years Practitioner</li><li>Level 2 Certificate in Childcare and Education (CACHE)</li><li>Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner</li><li>Level 2 Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development (CCLD)</li><li>Level 2 Award in Child Development and Care</li><li>Level 2 Certificate Introducing Caring for Children and Young People</li><li>Level 2 Diploma in Playwork</li><li>Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (STLS) </li><li>Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)</li><li>Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (CACHE)</li><li>Level 3 Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development (CCLD)</li><li>Level 3 NVQ in Children's Care, Learning and Development</li><li>Level 3 Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy - Birth to 7</li><li>Level 3 Diploma in Playwork</li><li>Level 3 Award/Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (STLS</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>The Ideal Candidate:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Must hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)</p></li><li><p>Have recent experience working in a UK primary school setting</p></li><li><p>Have experience supporting pupils with SEND, particularly in a 1:1 capacity</p></li><li><p>Demonstrate strong communication, patience and adaptability</p></li><li><p>Be enthusiastic about supporting children's learning and development</p></li><li><p>Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)</p></li></ul><p><strong>Why Work with Tradewind Recruitment?</strong></p><p>Tradewind Recruitment is one of the UK's leading education recruitment agencies, partnering with a wide network of schools across London.
