<strong>Learning Support Assistant (1:1) Needed - Burton-on-Trent</strong><p><strong>Location:</strong> John Taylor Free School<strong>Position:</strong> 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (Year 9)<strong>Pay:</strong> £90 - £110 per day (dependent on experience)</p><p>Are you passionate about making a real difference in a young person's life? Whether you have prior experience or are looking to build your skills in a specialist role, we want YOU!</p><p>The Supply Register are working in partnership with John Taylor Free School to recruit a caring and committed <strong>Learning Support Assistant (LSA)</strong> to provide <strong>1:1 support</strong> for a Year 9 student.</p><strong>About the Role</strong><p>You will be supporting a student with:</p><ul><li>Scoliosis</li><li>Heart disease</li><li>Duchenne muscular dystrophy</li></ul><p>The student uses an <strong>electric wheelchair</strong> and requires support throughout the school day, including personal care and mobility assistance.</p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><p>Provide <strong>1:1 classroom support</strong>, ensuring the student can access learning.</p><p>Assist with <strong>personal care needs</strong> in a respectful and dignified manner.</p><p>Support with <strong>manual handling and mobility</strong>, including hoist use (training required).</p><p>Encourage independence and engagement in lessons.</p><p>Work closely with teaching staff and the SEN team.</p><p>Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.</p><strong>What We're Looking For</strong><p><strong>Experience:</strong> Experience working with young people or individuals with additional needs is desirable.</p><p><strong>Training required :</strong> <strong>Manual handling and hoist training</strong>.</p><p><strong>Communication Skills:</strong> Strong ability to work with staff and students.</p><p><strong>Compassion:</strong> A patient, caring, and understanding approach.</p><p><strong>Reliability:</strong> Professional and dependable.</p><strong>Additional Requirements</strong><p>Face-to-face interview at the school is required.</p><p>Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).</p><strong>Why Join Us?</strong><p>Free CPD opportunities to support your professional development.</p><p>Weekly PAYE payments-no umbrella companies involved.</p><p>Flexible work to suit your lifestyle.</p><p>Dedicated support from a Partnership Executive.</p><p>Competitive pay based on experience.</p><strong>How to Apply</strong><p>If you're an enthusiastic and compassionate individual looking for a rewarding role, we'd love to hear from you!
