<p>Due to an expanding order book, my Cheshire based client have an opening for a position as a Layout Designer within their Design team. </p><p>The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and be responsible for running a team, either in-house or managing external consultants.</p><p>The candidate will liaise directly with the Architecture Director and be responsible for ensuring work is completed in line with programme and client's expectations and our own quality standards.</p><p></p><p><strong><em><u>The Role:</u></em></strong></p><p></p><p>- Preparing feasibility sketch layouts in support of client bid submissions and responding to planning/ client comments.</p><p>- Liaising with clients to ensure applications meet their brief.</p><p>- Digesting information provided by client to inform design parameters.</p><p>- Project co-ordination / management utilising resource within team to prepare all drawings and documents required for the submission of planning applications.</p><p>- Co-ordinating information between consultants.</p><p>- Liaising with local authority Officers and other stakeholders to progress planning applications or gain approval.</p><p>- Making necessary amendments to planning application pack as required to obtain planning permissions.</p><p>- Preparing Planning Layouts (including templates, design of road layout and landscaping).</p><p>- Preparing planning house types (floor plans & elevations).</p><p>- Preparing street scenes.</p><p>- Preparing Design & Access Statements / Supporting Statements / Planning Statements.</p><p>- Preparing presentation material (Coloured layouts, 3D perspective views).</p><p></p><p><strong><em><u>The Candidate:</u></em></strong></p><p></p><p>• Experience within the residential housing sector.</p><p>• Robust understanding of clients house type range and plotting requirements.</p><p>• Prepare accurate, error free drawing information.</p><p>• Strong knowledge of planning policy / process / requirements and application procedures.</p><p>• Knowledge of documents such as Manual for Streets, Government Design Guides and /or Building Regulations.</p><p>• Ability to work within a team or individually, offering experience to the team when required.</p><p>• Good communication skills, both verbally and written.</p><p>• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Microsoft, Excel, Word, Power-point & Outlook).</p><p>• Proficient with AutoCAD and Adobe Suite (Photoshop & Indesign).</p><p>• Possess Full UK Driving licence and own transport.</p><p>• Willingness to travel.</p><p></p><p><strong><em><u>Minimum Qualifications Required:</u></em></strong></p><p></p><p>• ONC/HNC in construction related course</p><p>• 3 GCSEs at C or above, to include English and Mathematics</p><p></p><p><em>Desirable requirements;</em></p><p></p><p>• Experience with other presentation software such as: Sketch-up & Revit</p><p></p><p><em>Essential Personal Attributes;</em></p><p></p><p>• Methodical & Organised Disciplines</p><p>• Good timekeeping & Communication skills</p><p>• A team player and of personable smart character</p><p></p><p></p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?%2bjBHvVsVsDcMLFpbxzSZ6qay3HhDkF8hv" width="0" height="0" />
