Lab Technician

This is your chance to join our clients leading organisation where you'll develop valuable skills and contribute to their Quality Control Laboratory team.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>The Role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>£Negotiable salary </li> <li>Annual bonus of 8% on top of salary </li> <li>Full time</li> <li>Monday - Friday </li> <li>Permanent position </li> </ul> <p><strong>Duties: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain accurate and legible records of all samples submitted into the laboratory</li> <li>Administration of Certificate of Analysis and other product related documentation</li> <li>Data trending</li> <li>Equipment Daily Calibrations</li> <li>Ordering of laboratory chemicals and consumables</li> <li>Daily/ weekly/ monthly laboratory checks on equipment as required</li> <li>Chemical/waste and sample disposal</li> <li>General housekeeping in the laboratory including glassware rotation</li> <li>Preparation of solutions, buffers and eluents</li> <li>Support the Analytical Chemists</li> <li>Be flexible to demands of the role.</li> </ul> <p><strong>EHS Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ensures that the Engineering Department conforms with company quality and EHS policies, procedures and management system requirements and complies with GxP and EHS regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Contributes to achievement of EHS performance targets by:</li> <li>Participating in EHS Meetings.</li> <li>Carrying out periodic EHS inspections.</li> <li>Periodically reviewing risk assessments.</li> <li>Reporting near misses/ raising good suggestions.</li> <li>Managing contractors ensuring they are following EHS guidelines</li> </ul> <p><strong>Criteria:</strong></p> <ul> <li> Educated to 'A' level or equivalent in a Science related subject or have suitable experience.</li> <li>Have an interest in laboratory work.</li> <li>Attention to detail.</li> <li>Understanding of EH&S.</li> <li>Ability to work unaided and use initiative.</li> <li>Computer literate.</li> </ul><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?aP%2fblHlMLSuKPbWBBBYZWQOmgUJLgGMbr" width="0" height="0" />
