IT Technical Lead</strong>Northern Ireland (Hybrid Working)Full-Time Permanent£40,000 - £50,000 + Benefits</p>We are partnering with a leading financial services organisation to recruit an IT Technical Lead to support the delivery and evolution of critical IT services across a complex, enterprise-scale environment.</p>This is a hands-on technical leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys working across infrastructure, cloud, and applications, while acting as the bridge between business needs and technical delivery.</p>The RoleYou will play a key role in delivering and supporting IT services, working across project and operational environments. Acting as a technical lead and service owner, you'll collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and group-level technology functions to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned to business objectives.</p>This role offers strong exposure to cloud technologies, IT transformation, and enterprise systems, with real influence over how services are designed and delivered.</p>Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Delivery (Core Focus)</strong></p>Lead the delivery of IT solutions across the full project lifecycle</li>Translate business requirements into technical solutions and architecture</li>Provide direction during design, implementation, and go-live phases</li>Act as IT Service/Application Owner for key systems</li></ul>Cloud, Infrastructure & Systems</strong></p>Support cloud readiness and migration initiatives</li>Contribute to infrastructure design and deployment of new solutions</li>Maintain and evolve application and infrastructure roadmaps</li>Work closely with group technology teams on integrated systems</li></ul>Stakeholder & Vendor Management</strong></p>Act as the technical interface between business units and wider IT teams</li>Collaborate with third-party vendors and managed service providers</li>Represent IT in change advisory and governance forums</li></ul>Risk, Security & Resilience (Important but not dominant)</strong></p>Assess IT risks and security implications of new solutions</li>Support operational resilience, disaster recovery, and continuity planning</li>Contribute to security governance and compliance activities</li></ul>Continuous Improvement & Engineering Best Practice</strong></p>Promote modern engineering practices including Agile and DevOps</li>Support knowledge sharing, training, and simplification initiatives</li>Stay current with emerging technologies across cloud and infrastructure</li></ul>About YouEssential</strong></p>Experience delivering IT solutions within a project or change environment</li>Strong understanding of cloud technologies and infrastructure</li>Experience working across the full IT delivery lifecycle (ideally Agile)</li>Ability to assess technical risk and contribute to secure solution design</li>Knowledge of operational resilience, DR, and business continuity</li></ul>Desirable</strong></p>Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS)</li>Exposure to DevOps tools and practices</li>Background in financial services or regulated environments</li>Experience working with managed service providers</li></ul>What's on OfferOpportunity to work in a large-scale, enterprise IT environment</li>Strong focus on cloud, transformation, and modern technologies</li>Hybrid working with a collaborative team culture</li>Clear pathways for career development and upskilling</li>Competitive salary and flexible benefits package</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>To speak in absolute confidence about this opportunity please send an up-to-date CV via the link provided or contact Senior Recruitment Consultant Stuart Kennedy at MCS Group on or .</strong></p><p><strong>Even if this position is not right for you, we may have others that are.
