<p>We're currently recruiting for an experienced <strong>IT Endpoint Field Service Engineer</strong> to support a growing laboratory network across Hertfordshire and West Essex. This is a hands-on, field-based role with a strong focus on hardware support, troubleshooting, and site-based IT service delivery.</p><p></p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>You'll be responsible for providing onsite IT support across a hub laboratory in Watford and multiple spoke sites, ensuring endpoint systems and hardware are running efficiently.</p><p>Key responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Providing desktop and endpoint support across multiple sites</li><li>Deploying, configuring, and maintaining IT hardware (PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices)</li><li>Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues</li><li>Supporting upgrades, repairs, and ongoing maintenance</li><li>Carrying out regular site visits and responding to support requests</li><li>Assisting with IT projects and transformation initiatives within new laboratory environments</li><li>Acting as a point of escalation and working closely with wider IT teams</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Location & Travel</strong></p><ul><li>Primary base: <strong>Watford </strong></li><li>Initial training: Kings Cross</li><li>Frequent travel to sites across <strong>Hertfordshire and Essex</strong>, including Harlow, Hemel Hempstead, Stevenage, and Watford</li><li>A <strong>full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential</strong> (mileage reimbursed for travel outside base location)</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>About You</strong></p><p>We're looking for someone confident, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a field-based environment.</p><p>Essential skills & experience:</p><ul><li>Minimum <strong>5 years' experience</strong> in a similar IT support / field engineer role</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with:</li><ul><li>Hardware provisioning, troubleshooting & repairs</li><li>PCs, laptops, printers, and mobile devices</li></ul><li>Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, port patching, etc.)</li><li>Excellent problem-solving and communication skills</li><li>Ability to manage workload independently across multiple sites</li></ul><p>Desirable:</p><ul><li>Experience supporting IT projects or transformation work</li><li>Previous experience in a multi-site environment</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Working Hours & Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>40 hours per week (08:00-17:00, Monday to Friday)</li><li>1-hour lunch break</li><li>Occasional out-of-hours work may be required for urgent issues</li><li><strong>24 days annual leave</strong>, increasing to 28 days after 5 years' service</li><li>Mileage expenses paid for travel outside base location</li></ul><p></p><p>This is a great opportunity for an experienced IT engineer looking for a varied, autonomous role with real responsibility and involvement in exciting infrastructure projects</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?NNcQ65VzYn1%2bOt%2fAAkwYoIJXSaFS9srCz" width="0" height="0" />
