Integration Engineer

<p><strong>Workplace Integration Engineer (DV Cleared / Single UK National)</strong><strong>Basingstoke Fully On-site £650 per day Contract</strong></p><p>We're supporting a <strong>high-security programme</strong> and are looking for a skilled <strong>Workplace Integration Engineer</strong> to join a multi-disciplined agile team based on site in <strong>Basingstoke</strong>.</p><p>This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys taking configuration designs, automating them end-to-end, and seeing solutions through from initial design into production and early life support. You'll be working in a challenging, secure environment where collaboration, quality, and reliability are critical.</p><p>What you'll be doing</p><ul><li>Taking <strong>product and configuration designs</strong> and turning them into automated, repeatable software packages</li><li>Using <strong>PowerShell and Python</strong> to package, deploy, validate, and test solutions</li><li>Owning delivery of work packages from <strong>design and prototyping through to production</strong></li><li>Building automated and unit tests to confirm expected and unexpected behaviours</li><li>Supporting user pilots, production rollout, and <strong>early life support</strong></li><li>Producing and maintaining <strong>design, support, and operational documentation</strong></li><li>Delivering ongoing enhancements and configuration changes as user requirements evolve</li><li>Working closely with other engineers in a <strong>collaborative agile team</strong>, sharing responsibility and challenges</li></ul><p>What we're looking for</p><ul><li>Strong scripting capability in <strong>PowerShell</strong> and <strong>Python</strong></li><li>Advanced knowledge of <strong>Windows enterprise systems administration</strong></li><li>Hands-on experience delivering configuration via: <ul><li>GPOs, Registry, Filesystem</li><li>PowerShell cmdlets and WMI</li><li>Windows Update, patching, and Windows Installer</li></ul></li><li>Experience working in <strong>high-security environments</strong></li><li>Comfortable troubleshooting complex issues and owning problems through to resolution</li></ul><p>Desirable experience</p><ul><li>Agile software development and delivery</li><li>Active Directory, PKI, VMware virtualisation</li><li>Windows Server 2019, gold image builds, and system hardening (GPOs)</li><li>Nexus or similar configuration repositories</li><li>Automation tools such as <strong>Ansible</strong> or <strong>Terraform</strong></li><li>Automated testing using <strong>Robot Framework</strong></li></ul><p>Role details</p><ul><li><strong>Rate:</strong> £650 per day</li><li><strong>Contract:</strong> 6-month initial engagement</li><li><strong>Location:</strong> Basingstoke (BSN01) - 5 days per week on-site</li><li><strong>Clearance:</strong> DV / High-level clearance (Single UK National only)</li><li><strong>Working pattern:</strong> Monday to Friday</li><li><strong>Start:</strong> ASAP</li></ul><p>If you're a DV-cleared engineer who thrives in secure, technically demanding environments and likes owning solutions end-to-end, this is a strong contract opportunity.</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?%2bjBHvVsVsDdJ0pfp1KNNT0fDz5bsBzCav" width="0" height="0" />
