<p></p><p>Infrastructure Architect</p><p></p><p></p><p>This role sits within a large-scale technology transformation, focused on bringing structure, clarity and direction to infrastructure and security architecture.</p><p></p><p>The environment has strong engineering capability but lacks cohesive architectural governance. You'll review existing systems, identify gaps, and introduce a more joined-up, secure-by-design approach across infrastructure and cloud.</p><p>This is not an enterprise-level role. It's ideal for someone with early architecture experience (or a senior engineer stepping up) who wants to influence design, shape standards and grow their architectural impact.</p><p></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Review current infrastructure and designs, identifying gaps and improvements </li><li>Introduce architectural governance and improve documentation and mapping </li><li>Layer security architecture across infrastructure (network, identity, endpoints, data) </li><li>Support and shape Azure-led cloud architecture in a cloud-first environment </li><li>Drive principles around zero trust, identity security and segmentation </li><li>Work across business, data, application and infrastructure teams to align architecture </li><li>Provide clear designs, diagrams and practical recommendations </li><li>Act as a knowledge lead, influencing direction without direct reports </li></ul><p></p><p>Skills & Experience</p><ul><li>Background in infrastructure, security engineering or early architecture </li><li>Strong understanding of networking, virtualisation, compute and cloud (Azure preferred) </li><li>Exposure to security architecture concepts (zero trust, IAM, segmentation) </li><li>Ability to review and produce technical designs and documentation </li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams </li><li>Experience in regulated environments beneficial</li></ul> This is an opportunity to define architecture rather than inherit it.
