<p>Information Architect</p><ul><li>Daily rate: Outside IR35</li><li>Location: Bristol - Hybrid (ad-hoc onsite working)</li><li>Job Type: Contract</li></ul><p>We are seeking an experienced Information Architect for a short, delivery-focused engagement aimed at enhancing information and records management across a complex, mixed systems environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in regulated or compliance-aware environments, ready to translate high-level policies into practical, operational solutions.</p><p>Day-to-day of the role:</p><ul><li>Review the current state of information and records management across corporate and operational systems.</li><li>Identify issues relating to information classification, metadata, retention, review, disposal, ownership, access controls, duplication, legacy content, and inconsistent application of information controls.</li><li>Support the definition of what constitutes a record across different business activities, systems, and information types.</li><li>Develop practical criteria and decision models to distinguish between formal records, working documents, reference material, and transitory or non-record content.</li><li>Produce an initial records definition framework that can be applied consistently across the organisation.</li><li>Design an approach to information and records management that works across multiple systems, rather than relying on a single repository.</li><li>Contribute to a phased delivery roadmap, identifying priorities, dependencies, and risks.</li><li>Advise on how Microsoft 365 governance and Microsoft Purview capabilities can support the overall information and records management approach.</li><li>Engage stakeholders across business, IT, operations, information security, and governance functions.</li><li>Apply experience from secure or regulated environments to ensure approaches are proportionate and implementable.</li></ul><p>Required Skills & Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Strong experience in information governance, information management, or records management consulting.</li><li>Proven ability to define and implement records approaches across multiple systems.</li><li>Experience translating policy-level requirements into practical, operational record definitions.</li><li>Strong understanding of retention, ownership, classification, and governance principles.</li><li>Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.</li><li>Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and delivering at pace.</li><li>Experience within secure, regulated, or compliance-sensitive organisations.</li><li>Records-management led rather than tool-led.</li><li>Pragmatic, outcome-focused, and delivery-oriented.</li><li>Able to balance governance requirements with operational reality.</li><li>Confident working with senior stakeholders across business and technology.</li><li>Clear communicator able to simplify complex information concepts.</li><li>Desirable: Knowledge of Microsoft 365 governance, familiarity with Microsoft Purview, and experience dealing with legacy information.</li></ul><p>Benefits:</p><ul><li>Flexible hybrid working model.</li><li>Opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.</li><li>Exposure to complex, enterprise-level projects.</li></ul><p>To apply for this Information Architect position, please submit your CV detailing your relevant experience.</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?DLlfkpzUkdDSpuO68FTlf%2fYw5X9%2fJ88Dh" width="0" height="0" />
