<p>Location: Belfast<br /> Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday: 9am to 5pm)<br /> Salary: Competitive hourly rate (depending on experience)<br /> Contract: Temporary</p> <p>About the Role:</p> <p>On behalf of our public sector client, MPA Recruitment is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join a busy and professional HR team based in Belfast.</p> <p>The successful candidate will support the delivery of a high-quality HR and resourcing service, ensuring recruitment activity, employee support, and HR administration functions are delivered effectively and in line with organisational policies, procedures, and current employment legislation.</p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to gain valuable experience within a large and fast-paced organisation.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>As HR Advisor, duties may include:</p> <ul> <li>Supporting end-to-end recruitment and selection processes.</li> <li>Providing professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.</li> <li>Managing HR administrative processes in line with organisational policy and employment legislation.</li> <li>Preparing and placing job advertisements.</li> <li>Coordinating interviews, assessments, testing, and onboarding processes.</li> <li>Managing pre-employment checks including references, Access NI checks, and employment documentation.</li> <li>Maintaining accurate electronic and paper-based HR records.</li> <li>Extracting, analysing, and reporting on HR data and statistics.</li> <li>Assisting with HR case management and preparation of case files.</li> <li>Supporting the review and development of HR policies, procedures, and working practices.</li> <li>Responding to HR-related queries via phone, email, and face-to-face communication.</li> <li>Supporting workforce planning, recruitment campaigns, and HR projects as required.</li> <li>Ensuring effective use of HR systems and contributing to continuous service improvement.</li> <li>Working collaboratively with internal departments and shared service teams to deliver an efficient HR service.</li> </ul> <p>What We're Looking For:</p> <p><strong>Applicants must demonstrate:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A relevant HR qualification (CIPD Level 5 or equivalent desirable).</li> <li>Previous experience working within an HR or employee resourcing environment.</li> <li>Experience providing HR advice and supporting recruitment processes.</li> <li>Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.</li> <li>Excellent communication and customer service skills.</li> <li>Experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.</li> <li>The ability to work accurately and independently within a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.</li> </ul> <p>Equivalent combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may also be considered.</p> <p><strong>Desirable Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>Previous experience working within the public sector or local government.</li> <li>Experience supporting large-scale recruitment campaigns.</li> <li>Current CIPD membership.</li> <li>Experience producing HR reports and statistical information.</li> </ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <ul> <li>An Access NI Check may be required for this role.</li> </ul> <p>What we can offer you:</p> <ul> <li>Weekly Pay</li> <li>Holiday Pay</li> <li>Ongoing support from dedicated recruitment consultants</li> <li>Opportunities across a range of public sector organisations</li> <li>Potential for long-term assignments and career development</li> </ul> <p> Why Apply:</p> <ul> <li>Gain valuable experience within a respected organisation</li> <li>Develop your HR and employee relations expertise</li> <li>Work as part of a supportive and professional HR team</li> <li>Opportunity to contribute to essential public services</li> </ul> <p>How to Apply:</p> <p>To apply, send your CV to or contact our office on for more information.</p> <p>MPA Recruitment is an equal opportunities employer.</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?8BtgX7rrSYEjItlhjN0NNIeWrNzYQy5fy" width="0" height="0" />
