This is a rewarding opportunity to provide consistent, person-centred care to an adolescent with a learning disability and epilepsy.</p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>You will be supporting a young person who lives in a loving family home. The client requires reassurance, structure, and consistent support, especially during the night.</p><p>They may use their behaviour to communicate, so they need a calm, patient carer who can understand their needs. At times, the client may display behaviours that challenge, particularly if they feel overwhelmed or unsettled. Building trust, offering reassurance, and responding in a calm and supportive way is essential.</p><p>This role is not just about care tasks-it's about building a positive relationship, promoting a sense of safety, and supporting the client to feel comfortable in their own home.</p><p>We are looking for someone who is:</p><ul><li>Empathetic, patient, and understanding</li><li>A good listener who can respond calmly to needs</li><li>Confident in supporting behaviours that may challenge</li><li>Able to build strong rapport with the client and family</li></ul><p><strong>What You'll Be Doing</strong></p><ul><li>Providing personal and emotional support</li><li>Supporting and managing behaviours that may challenge in a calm and safe manner</li><li>Monitoring wellbeing and ensuring safety overnight</li><li>Supporting with epilepsy care</li><li>Promoting comfort, dignity, and reassurance at all times</li></ul><p><strong>Why Join MCS Healthcare?</strong></p><ul><li><strong>£17.00 per hour</strong></li><li><strong>Paid induction and training</strong></li><li><strong>Ongoing support and development</strong></li><li><strong>Flexible working patterns</strong></li><li><strong>Supportive and respectful team environment</strong></li></ul><p><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></p><ul><li>At least 1 year of care experience</li><li>A caring and professional approach</li><li>Willingness to learn and follow care plans</li><li>Experience in learning disabilities or similar settings (preferred)</li></ul><p><strong>Please note: We do not hold a UK Sponsorship Licence.
