<p><strong>Geotechnical Project Manager</strong> Reading, Berkshire £40,000 - £45,000</p><p>An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Geotechnical Project Manager to join a leading ground engineering consultancy based in Reading. This role is ideal for an experienced geotechnical professional looking to take full ownership of projects while developing client relationships and leading a growing team.</p><p>The Role</p><p>As a Geotechnical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of a wide range of geotechnical and ground investigation projects across sectors including infrastructure, residential, and commercial developments.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Managing geotechnical projects from tender through to completion</li><li>Preparing and reviewing technical reports, including ground investigation and geotechnical design reports</li><li>Designing and supervising site investigations</li><li>Providing geotechnical advice on foundations, earthworks, and slope stability</li><li>Managing project budgets, timelines, and resources</li><li>Acting as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders</li><li>Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and site staff</li><li>Ensuring compliance with health & safety and industry standards</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related field</li><li>6+ years' experience in geotechnical engineering</li><li>Proven experience managing projects and teams</li><li>Strong understanding of UK ground conditions and geotechnical design principles</li><li>Excellent report writing and client-facing skills</li><li>Full UK driving licence</li></ul><p>Desirable</p><ul><li>Chartered status (CEng or equivalent) or working towards it</li><li>Experience in consultancy or contracting environments</li><li>Knowledge of relevant software (e.g., GeoStudio, Plaxis, or similar)</li></ul><p>Benefits</p><ul><li>Competitive salary with performance-related bonus</li><li>Company car or car allowance</li><li>Pension scheme</li><li>Private healthcare</li><li>Flexible/hybrid working</li><li>Structured career progression and leadership opportunities</li></ul><p></p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?G5Q9wNewzuMW5of%2fZGdkfA7PE4KDsqL6m" width="0" height="0" />
