<ul><li>Fire Project Manager & Estimator</li><li>£45,000 - £65,000 (DOE) + Company Vehicle</li><li>Company vehicle (with fuel/expenses support)</li></ul><strong>Fire Project Manager & Estimator</strong><strong>Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 (DOE) + Company Vehicle</strong><strong>Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire</strong> We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced <strong>Fire Project Manager & Estimator</strong> to join a well-established and growing business within the fire and security sector. This is a key role combining both <strong>technical estimating</strong> and <strong>end-to-end project management</strong>, offering excellent variety and responsibility.<strong>The Role</strong> You will be responsible for managing fire system projects from initial enquiry through to completion, while also producing accurate and competitive quotations.<strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><strong>Estimating & Design</strong><ul><li>Prepare detailed quotations, tenders, and specifications</li><li>Interpret client requirements, drawings, and site surveys</li><li>Design and price fire alarm systems (conventional & analogue addressable)</li><li>Estimate additional systems such as: <ul><li>Emergency lighting</li><li>PA/VA systems</li><li>Nurse call systems</li><li>Disabled refuge & alarm systems</li></ul></li><li>Present proposals to clients where required</li></ul><strong>Project Management</strong><ul><li>Manage fire installation projects from handover to completion</li><li>Schedule works and coordinate installation engineers</li><li>Monitor project progress and ensure delivery aligns with timelines and construction programmes</li><li>Liaise with customers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle</li><li>Manage variations, additional works, and project changes</li><li>Ensure correct materials are ordered and delivered</li></ul><strong>Team & Operational Management</strong><ul><li>Oversee installation engineers and support day-to-day requirements</li><li>Approve timesheets and manage holidays/absence</li><li>Provide technical support to engineers and internal teams</li><li>Assist with planning workloads and department priorities</li></ul><strong>Commercial & Administrative</strong><ul><li>Price works orders, call-outs, and variations</li><li>Prepare documentation for invoicing</li><li>Handle customer queries and complaints professionally</li><li>Support audits and external inspections</li></ul><strong>Systems & Software</strong><ul><li>Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)</li><li>Bespoke internal systems (training provided)</li><li>Purchase Order systems and alarm monitoring databases</li></ul><strong>On-Call / Duty Roster</strong> Participation in an escalation rota for emergency call-outs (as required).<strong>About You</strong><ul><li>Proven experience in fire alarm systems (design, estimating, or project management)</li><li>Strong technical knowledge of fire and associated systems</li><li>Excellent organisational and communication skills</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines</li><li>Commercial awareness and accurate estimating ability</li><li>Problem-solver with a practical, hands-on approach</li></ul><strong>Package & Benefits</strong><ul><li>£45,000 - £65,000 salary (depending on experience)</li><li>Company vehicle (with fuel/expenses support)</li><li>Company mobile phone and laptop</li><li>Pension scheme (auto enrolment)</li><li>23 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing with service)</li><li>Company credit card for expenses</li><li>PPE and uniform provided</li></ul><strong>Additional Information</strong><ul><li>Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:30</li><li>Security screening required (including DBS and employment checks)</li><li>Equal opportunities employer</li></ul><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?1cWG9WvfIsrBE6Y6OQItaq8cGFhvyzSSo" width="0" height="0" />
