<p><strong>Finance Officer</strong></p> <p>We are currently recruiting for a <strong>Finance Officer</strong> to join a busy Finance & Estates Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual to contribute to the effective delivery of financial services within a public sector environment.</p> <p><strong>Pay Rate:</strong> £12.75 per hour</p> <p><strong>Hours:</strong> Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm</p> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Downpatrick</p> <p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p> <p>The successful candidate will provide a wide range of administrative and financial support, ensuring the efficient operation of systems and processes within the department. You will play a key role in supporting financial governance, maintaining accurate records, and assisting stakeholders across the organisation.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Contribute to the Trust's Financial Governance Framework</li> <li>Process financial information in line with policies and deadlines</li> <li>Investigate queries and provide support to financial and non-financial stakeholders</li> <li>Assist with reconciliations of control accounts</li> <li>Support compliance with Public Sector Prompt Payment Policy</li> <li>Maintain accurate financial records and databases</li> <li>Input, monitor and validate financial data with a high level of accuracy</li> <li>Produce reports, manage spreadsheets, and use internal systems</li> <li>Assist with workload planning to meet financial deadlines</li> <li>Handle large volumes of cash and coin where required</li> <li>Provide administrative support including: <ul> <li>Managing emails and correspondence</li> <li>Arranging meetings and appointments</li> <li>Taking minutes</li> <li>Maintaining filing systems</li> <li>General office duties (photocopying, scanning, etc.)</li> </ul> </li> <li>Supervise staff and allocate work when necessary</li> <li>Order stationery and support day-to-day office operations</li> <li>Participate in training, development, and appraisal processes</li> <li>Support the Director of Finance & Estates in maintaining effective financial control and contributing to financial strategy and planning</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>4 GCSEs (Grade A-C) including English and Maths <strong>and</strong> at least 1 year's relevant experience<br /> <strong>OR</strong> <ul> <li>Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience</li> </ul> </li> <li>Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel</li> </ul> <p><strong>Relevant experience must include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Working with computerised financial systems</li> <li>Experience of financial procedures in a busy finance office</li> <li>Numerical calculations and data handling</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong organisational and administrative skills</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail and accuracy</li> <li>Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines</li> <li>Effective communication skills (written and verbal)</li> <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li> </ul> <p>To apply please send your CV via the link</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?HEJlsczeL0vKM%2f9luhaEYywzQ5RYQf9fk" width="0" height="0" />
