Facade Designer

<strong>Facade Designer - Revit</strong><p>Cardiff (Hybrid) £30,000-£40,000 DOE Permanent</p><strong>Introduction</strong><p>Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Façade Designer to join a growing external envelope specialist working across commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments throughout the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a new and expanding team, contributing to complex façade packages from concept through to construction.</p><strong>Key Duties</strong><ul><li>Produce detailed façade design drawings and technical details.</li><li>Develop construction, fabrication, and installation drawings.</li><li>Design façade systems including rainscreen cladding, curtain walling, glazing systems, and SFS structures.</li><li>Liaise with architects, contractors, consultants, and internal project teams.</li><li>Ensure designs comply with UK building regulations, fire safety requirements, and project specifications.</li><li>Coordinate with structural engineers regarding load paths, bracketry, and support systems.</li><li>Support project delivery through design reviews and technical meetings.</li><li>Assist in resolving technical design issues during installation.</li><li>Ensure compliance with relevant standards including BS EN 13830 and EN 13501-1.</li></ul><strong>Requirements</strong><ul><li>Experience working as a Façade Designer, Cladding Designer, or Envelope Designer.</li><li>Strong knowledge of façade systems including curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, glazing systems, and SFS framing.</li><li>Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.</li><li>Understanding of façade build-ups, thermal performance, and fire regulations.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.</li><li>Strong coordination and communication skills.</li></ul><strong>What We Offer</strong><ul><li>Competitive salary of £30,000-£40,000 depending on experience.</li><li>Hybrid working arrangement.</li><li>Opportunity to work on complex and high-profile façade projects.</li><li>Supportive and collaborative team environment.</li></ul><strong>Interested?</strong><p>Apply now to join a growing façade specialist and take the next step in your design career.</p><p>Acorn by Synergie acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?DyzhIrFTnLebFt1d2k5Z1SeLiD5jEvRmm" width="0" height="0" />
