<p>Are you someone living in Wrexham who is looking to make a difference in the lives of children and young people? </p><p></p><p>Reed Emergency Placement Support (EPS) Team are currently recruiting Support Workers within the Wrexham area to provide support to a range of children and young people. We are looking for enthusiastic support workers who will provide high-quality support to vulnerable children and young people both in activities and within their everyday lives. If you are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and young people and enhancing their care experience, this role is for you! </p><p></p><p>Most of our care is 2:1 support, so you will be working closely with another support worker to provide care for the young person; however, there will be some opportunities to work in 1:1 support. We provide 24 hours of care 7 days a week, so we have a range of shift times and lengths available; perfect for those who are night owls and early birds! </p><p></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong></p><ul><li><p>Provide a safe and supportive environment for the child or young person. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Engage regularly with the young person. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Willingness to participate in activities with the young person e.g. playing games. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Participate in mandatory training on a yearly basis to ensure you are up to date on current training. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Our Benefits: </strong></p><ul><li><p>Paid Breaks. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Paid sleep (£12.71 per hour). </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Weekly pay. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Paid holiday (accrued with the hours you work). </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Annual online training. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Ideal Candidate: </strong></p><p>The ideal candidate will have: </p><ul><li><p>Over 1 years' experience working as a Social Worker or Care Assistant. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>An ability to demonstrate an understanding of safeguarding and its importance in care. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Experience supporting young people. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Effective communication skills. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Hold an Enhanced DBS with Adult and Child Barred List which is on the Update Service; or be willing to apply for this via Reed. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>How to Apply: </strong></p><p>Apply by clicking the button below by 16th April 2026</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?mvZ2aGq5iQWr1MyPIs7kJ%2fgdfkkn0bS7f" width="0" height="0" />
