Embedded Software Engineer (Qt)

<p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join a growing development team working on advanced systems and user interfaces. You will be involved in the full software lifecycle, from design and development through to testing and deployment.</p><p>This role will suit someone with strong C++ skills and experience working on embedded or real-time systems, with exposure to Qt-based UI development.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Design, develop and maintain embedded software using C/C++</li><li>Work on Linux or RTOS-based systems</li><li>Develop user interfaces using Qt / QML</li><li>Interface with hardware and peripherals (e.g. CAN, UART, SPI, I2C)</li><li>Debug and optimise real-time systems</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware and systems engineers</li><li>Contribute to system design, architecture and code reviews</li></ul><p><strong>Required Skills & Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Strong experience in <strong>C++ (and/or C)</strong></li><li>Experience working in <strong>embedded or real-time environments</strong></li><li>Knowledge of <strong>Linux or RTOS (e.g. QNX, FreeRTOS, Embedded Linux)</strong></li><li>Experience with <strong>Qt / QML</strong> or other UI frameworks</li><li>Understanding of communication protocols (e.g. CAN, UART, SPI, I2C)</li><li>Experience with debugging tools and version control (e.g. Git)</li><li>Exposure to <strong>HMI development</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Desirable Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in <strong>automotive, industrial or similar domains</strong></li><li>Knowledge of <strong>embedded Linux build systems (Yocto, Buildroot)</strong></li><li>Familiarity with safety-critical standards (e.g. ISO26262, MISRA)</li></ul><p><strong>What's on Offer</strong></p><ul><li>Opportunity to work on cutting-edge embedded systems</li><li>Supportive and collaborative engineering environment</li><li>Career progression and technical development</li><li>Competitive salary and benefits package</li></ul><p></p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?NNcQ65VzYn2zNveKQ5i4A5J9F1Wh89iIz" width="0" height="0" />
