<p><strong>ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER</strong></p><p><strong>Job Title</strong> - Electrical Maintenance Engineer<strong>Location</strong> - Thrapston, Northamptonshire<strong>Salary</strong> - £46,000 - £50,000 + Bonus (up to 10%)<strong>Shift</strong> - 2 Days / 2 Nights / 4 Off (42 hours per week)</p><strong>Job Role of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer</strong><p>A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a highly automated, fast-paced manufacturing facility within a globally recognised packaging business. This site is part of a large international group and offers excellent job security, structured processes, and long-term career stability.</p><p>Working within a well-established engineering team, you will predominantly focus on electrical fault finding and maintenance across a range of modern production machinery. This is an ideal role for an engineer who enjoys autonomy, problem-solving, and working in a technically challenging environment.</p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Carrying out reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on site machinery</li><li>Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime</li><li>Working on a variety of equipment including corrugators, conveyors, packaging machines, palletisers and cutting machinery</li><li>Electrical fault finding on control circuits, PLCs, drives, inverters, motors and sensors</li><li>Supporting mechanical fault finding when required (gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, hydraulics and pneumatics)</li><li>PLC fault finding (Siemens S7 & Allen Bradley - fault finding only)</li><li>Working closely with the engineering team, team leaders and planners to maintain site performance</li><li>Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety and site standards</li></ul><strong>Sector</strong> - Factory Maintenance (Packaging / FMCG)<strong>Non-Negotiable Requirements</strong><ul><li>Electrical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent / Naric approved)</li><li>Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment</li></ul><strong>Desirable Requirements</strong><ul><li>Experience within packaging, paper, or high-speed manufacturing environments</li><li>Experience working with Siemens S7 or Allen Bradley PLCs</li></ul><strong>The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will benefit from:</strong><ul><li>Working for a large, stable, and globally recognised manufacturing group</li><li>Excellent shift pattern with strong work-life balance<ul><li>2 Days / 2 Nights / 4 Off</li><li>18 days off after every 7th/8th cycle</li></ul></li><li>Annual bonus up to 10% + monthly KPI bonus</li><li>Pension and ongoing training opportunities</li><li>Long-term job security within a growing business</li></ul><p></p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?1cWG9WvfIsr%2flTAm%2fu7D%2fBHhYLdijToZo" width="0" height="0" />
