<p>Criminology Lead Teacher</p><ul><li>Job Type: Part-time (potential full-time)</li><li>Location: Collingwood College</li><li>Salary: Competitive</li></ul><p>Collingwood College is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Criminology Lead Teacher to join our Humanities team. This part-time role offers the opportunity to become full-time for candidates who can also teach an additional Humanities subject such as Sociology, History, Geography, or RE.</p><p>Day-to-day of the role:</p><ul><li>Lead the delivery and development of Criminology, ensuring high-quality teaching and strong student outcomes.</li><li>Engage and inspire learners with a curriculum that fosters a passion for criminological thinking.</li><li>Teach Criminology at KS4 and/or KS5, depending on experience.</li><li>Lead curriculum planning and assessment within Criminology.</li><li>Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise achievement.</li><li>Contribute to the wider Humanities department.</li><li>For full-time consideration: teach an additional Humanities subject.</li></ul><p>Required Skills & Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.</li><li>Experience teaching Criminology.</li><li>Strong understanding of curriculum and assessment requirements.</li><li>Excellent classroom practice and behaviour management skills.</li><li>Collaborative and proactive approach to teaching and leadership.</li><li>Ability to teach an additional Humanities subject (desirable for full-time applicants).</li></ul><p>Benefits:</p><ul><li>Supportive and collaborative working environment.</li><li>Motivated students with a genuine interest in the subject.</li><li>Opportunities for professional development and subject leadership.</li><li>Flexibility through part-time working, with potential for full-time hours.</li></ul><p>How to Apply:</p><p>To apply for the Criminology Lead Teacher position, please submit your CV and a covering letter outlining your suitability for the role and any additional Humanities subjects you can teach.
