CREO Mechanical Design Engineer - Contract

<strong>Job Title:</strong> CREO Mechanical Design Engineer (Contract)<strong>Contract Length:</strong> 6 Months<strong>IR35 Status:</strong> Outside IR35<strong>Location:</strong> UK, South East (Hybrid)<strong>Overview:</strong>We are looking for a highly experienced CREO Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. This role is suited to a contractor with extensive hands-on mechanical design experience, capable of taking ownership of complex design tasks and delivering high-quality engineering solutions with minimal supervision.<strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><ul><li>Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings using CREO (Parametric)</li><li>Lead the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies from concept through to production</li><li>Apply robust mechanical engineering principles to ensure performance, reliability, and manufacturability</li><li>Conduct tolerance stack-ups and apply GD&T best practices</li><li>Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and project teams to ensure seamless product development</li><li>Review, refine, and optimise existing designs for performance and cost efficiency</li><li>Produce and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, including BOMs</li><li>Participate in and contribute to design reviews and technical discussions</li></ul><strong>Required Skills & Experience:</strong><ul><li>Extensive experience in mechanical design engineering, ideally within complex product environments</li><li>Advanced proficiency in CREO (Parametric)</li><li>Strong expertise in GD&T and tolerance analysis</li><li>Proven ability to produce detailed, production-ready engineering drawings</li><li>Solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and Design for Manufacture (DFM)</li><li>Experience working autonomously and delivering to tight project deadlines</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities</li></ul><strong>Desirable Experience:</strong><ul><li>Experience with FEA or other simulation tools</li><li>Experience in regulated or high-integrity engineering environments</li></ul><strong>Contract Details:</strong><ul><li>6-month initial contract, with potential extension</li><li>Outside IR35 engagement</li><li>Competitive day rate, dependent on experience</li></ul><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?Ae5qx6keinzXgqYZtToqMlGZBGrcZb1ks" width="0" height="0" />
