<p><strong>Job Title: </strong>Cost Manager - (Fit Out)</p><p><strong>Projects: </strong>Commercial / Residential / Life Science <strong>Salary:</strong> Up to £80,000 plus bonus and an excellent benefits package </p><p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p><p>Our client is seeking an experienced <strong>Cost Manager </strong>to join their Fit Out team, supporting the successful delivery of high-profile construction projects. This is a key commercial role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of financial management across complex schemes while working alongside a highly skilled project team.</p><p></p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>You will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the commercial and financial management of construction projects, ensuring cost control, contractual compliance, and effective stakeholder coordination throughout the project lifecycle.</p><p>Key responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Supporting Health & Safety compliance across your work packages and contributing to overall project delivery</li><li>Managing allocated elements of work under the direction of the Senior Cost Manager / Commercial Lead</li><li>Developing tender lists and preparing detailed tender documentation</li><li>Evaluating tenders commercially, including leading meetings and producing recommendation reports</li><li>Preparing and administering contract documentation</li><li>Reviewing subcontractor and consultant submissions from a commercial perspective</li><li>Managing change control processes, including instructions, cost agreement, and variations</li><li>Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project accounts</li><li>Carrying out site inspections to assess progress and commercial performance</li><li>Preparing interim valuations and managing payment processes</li><li>Negotiating and agreeing final accounts</li><li>Supporting cash flow forecasting and cost reporting</li><li>Assisting with insurance claims where required</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>About You</strong></p><p>Our client is looking for a commercially astute and confident professional who can operate effectively within a fast-paced project environment.</p><p>You will have:</p><ul><li>Proven Quantity Surveying experience, ideally on large-scale commercial, residential, or retail projects</li><li>A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred)</li><li>Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal</li><li>The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across project teams</li><li>A high level of accuracy and attention to detail</li><li>Strong IT and systems proficiency</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Additional Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Health & Safety</strong> You will be expected to take responsibility for your own health and safety, as well as that of others, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and legislation.</p><p><strong>Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG)</strong> Our client places strong emphasis on ESG principles.
