<p>EPOS Technician - Configuration & Hardware </p><p>Short-Term Contract Immediate Start </p><p></p><p>Like working with hardware? Want to get stuck into a busy, practical role straight away? </p><p>We are looking for three people with experience of configuring or handling EPOS equipment to join us for 2 month fixed-term contracts, supporting large-scale rollout projects, configuring, building and preparing IT equipment used across retail and hospitality sites. </p><p><strong>What you will be doing</strong></p><ul><li>Configure, image and stage EPOS hardware including tills, terminals, handheld devices, printers, scanners, payment peripherals and associated equipment.</li><li>Install and validate software builds, operating system images, firmware updates and customer-specific configurations.</li><li>Conduct functional testing and quality assurance checks to ensure equipment meets deployment standards.</li><li>Perform hardware teardown, decommissioning and secure dismantling of redundant or returned equipment.</li><li>Identify faulty components and complete basic fault diagnosis, triage and component replacement where required.</li><li>Manage asset tracking, serial number recording and inventory updates to maintain accurate stock and audit trails.</li><li>Prepare equipment for dispatch, engineer collections, redeployment or environmentally compliant disposal.</li><li>Support project rollouts, refresh programmes, store openings, closures and technology upgrade activities.</li><li>Maintain organised warehouse/workshop areas and ensure stock is stored, labelled and handled correctly.</li><li>Work in line with health & safety requirements, ESD handling procedures and company operational standards.</li><li>Liaise with warehouse, logistics, field engineering and project teams to meet project deadlines and service requirements.</li><li>Complete documentation and reporting relating to builds, faults, returned assets and stock movements.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>What you need</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with EPOS or IT hardware </li><li>Hands-on, practical mindset </li><li>Good attention to detail </li><li>Able to work at pace and meet deadlines </li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Why apply</strong></p><ul><li>Immediate start available </li><li>Fast-paced, hands-on role </li><li>Ideal for engineers between contracts </li><li>Work on real rollout projects for major brands </li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Location</strong></p><p>Warehouse-based role working out of our head office on Mansfield Road in Derby</p><p></p><p>Apply now to start quickly!</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?RINZcmghf3f7rsetR9HM%2fWhrw8VOgBDgx" width="0" height="0" />
