<p></p><p>A leading North West housing and property organisation is hiring a Compliance Officer to support the delivery of statutory compliance across key safety workstreams, ensuring programmes are completed, data is accurate, and assurance reporting is robust. They manage a significant property portfolio across the North West and are committed to <strong>continuous improvement</strong>, <strong>service quality</strong>, and <strong>regulatory excellence</strong>.</p><p></p><p><strong>Description</strong></p><p></p><ul><li>Support the management and evolution of the organisation's <strong>statutory compliance framework</strong>, ensuring alignment with <strong>best practice</strong> and legislation.</li><li>Act as the <strong>main operational point of contact</strong> for compliance delivery-ensuring smooth, high-quality, value-for-money service.</li><li>Manage day-to-day delivery of compliance <strong>servicing, inspections, and follow-up remedial works</strong> across:</li><li><strong>Gas</strong>, <strong>Asbestos</strong>, <strong>Legionella</strong>, <strong>Electrical</strong>, <strong>Fire Safety</strong>, <strong>Lifts</strong>, and associated <strong>M&E services</strong></li><li>Coordinate access for hard-to-reach properties, working with colleagues and contractors to deliver approved procedures.</li><li>Maintain and improve compliance <strong>data management systems</strong>-ensuring records are accurate, complete, auditable and readily available.</li><li>Collate performance data and produce draft <strong>monthly/quarterly/annual KPI reports</strong> by compliance stream.</li><li>Keep current with compliance best practice/legislation and share key updates with relevant teams and stakeholders.</li><li>Coordinate a programme of compliance <strong>audits</strong> (internal and external), collating findings and performance evidence for assurance reporting.</li><li>Provide technical support/advice on regulatory requirements related to asset compliance.</li><li>Support procurement activity: contractor/consultant selection and appointment in line with governance and financial procedures.</li><li>Run contractor performance and contract management meetings-agenda/action tracking and documentation.</li><li>Raise work orders/variations, ensure approvals are in place, and reconcile invoices against authorised orders.</li><li>Work confidently within compliance IT systems/third-party portals and asset management software modules (e.g., servicing & inspection systems).</li><li>Promote safe working and safeguarding culture-reporting hazards and supporting organisational obligations.</li><li>Produce analysis in <strong>Excel (intermediate+)</strong> to support decisions and compliance assurance</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Profile</strong></p><p></p><ul><li><strong>NVQ Level 3</strong> (or equivalent) and/or strong relevant experience in property compliance or asset safety.</li><li>Compliance training/knowledge across some of: <strong>Fire Safety, Asbestos, Gas Safety, Electrical Safety</strong> (others desirable).</li><li>Experience managing and/or supporting delivery of <strong>building services/maintenance contracts</strong> (including procurement exposure).</li><li>Understanding of compliance requirements and <strong>Health & Safety legislation</strong> (CDM knowledge is advantageous).</li><li>Strong admin discipline and confidence using <strong>MS Office</strong> and property/compliance databases/asset management systems.</li><li>Confidence building relationships with contractors, auditors, regulators and internal stakeholders.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Job Offer</strong></p><p></p><ul><li><strong>High-impact role</strong> protecting customers and ensuring safe, compliant homes</li><li>Genuine development exposure across <strong>multiple compliance workstreams</strong></li><li>Strong stakeholder visibility and the chance to shape performance through data and assurance</li><li>Supportive leadership and a values-driven culture focused on ownership and growth</li><li><strong>Competitive salary</strong> (DOE) + strong benefits package (details shared at application stage)</li><li>Training and professional development support (role-dependent)</li></ul><p></p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?BYYZSi1VQS8dYDkTUvqIt5SUhtRpKE9Kb" width="0" height="0" />
