This role is focused on expanding opportunities <strong>outside of defence</strong>, targeting sectors such as communications, sensing technologies, radar, industrial, healthcare, automotive, security, utilities, and space.</p><p>This is a senior, revenue-driving role that combines <strong>technical understanding with commercial leadership</strong>, ideal for someone who thrives in consultative B2B sales environments and enjoys translating complex engineering solutions into clear customer value.</p><strong>About the Consultancy</strong><p>The business is a recognised leader in their field, with deep expertise across:</p><ul><li>Antenna design and RF systems</li><li>High-frequency electronics</li><li>Digital signal processing</li><li>Embedded systems</li></ul><p>The consultancy delivers innovative design and engineering services to a wide range of commercial sectors, working on technically challenging and high-impact projects.</p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Build, manage, and maintain a strong commercial sales pipeline aligned to revenue and growth targets</li><li>Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities in RF, communications, sensing, and radar applications</li><li>Drive market expansion in non-defence commercial sectors</li><li>Analyse market trends, customer needs, competitor activity, and emerging technologies</li><li>Translate complex technical capabilities into compelling commercial value propositions</li><li>Lead customer engagements, sales meetings, presentations, and negotiations</li><li>Work closely with engineering teams to shape solutions and support proposal development</li><li>Develop long-term customer relationships and strategic accounts</li><li>Provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and pipeline visibility</li><li>Represent the consultancy at industry events, exhibitions, and conferences</li></ul><strong>Candidate Profile</strong><p>The ideal candidate will bring a strong commercial mindset, proven sales success, and credibility within technology-led consulting environments.</p><p><strong>Essential Experience & Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Ideally Degree qualified ( in engineering, physics, or a related technical discipline)</li><li>Significant post-graduate experience, including in commercial sales or business development</li><li>Proven background selling consultancy or technical services rather than high-volume products</li><li>Strong understanding of RF systems, wireless communications, sensing, or radar technologies</li><li>Demonstrable track record of closing £1m+ per annum in new B2B service revenues for a minimum of three years</li><li>Passion for developing commercial markets outside of defence</li><li>Ability to understand and articulate customers' strategic, technical, and commercial challenges</li><li>Established industry network across relevant commercial sectors</li><li>Experience supporting R&D commercialisation, from concept through to market delivery</li><li>Excellent presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills</li></ul><strong>This role offers an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales leader to make a measurable impact in an advanced technology consultancy environment.</strong><p></p><p></p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?E%2fgP4FVXthXZEcAnBkLhgOUT%2f8V%2fINdxt" width="0" height="0" />
