Job Title: HGV Mechanic <br /> Location: Chadderton, Oldham Salary: £20ph<br /> Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent<br /> Hours: 07:00 - 16:30, Monday to Friday (Could be modified for the right candidate)<br /><br /> About the Role: <br /><br />This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and motivated HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our dedicated team at Movement Control, a reputable and growing business within the transport/logistics industry that offers competitive salaries, Excellent Facilities and Flexibility.<br /><br />We have a Moderate sized Fleet of 8 x HGVs DAF,SCANIA,VOLVO & IVECO's / 15 x Trailers of Various types /10 x Commercial Vehicles from Small Vans to Luton's FORD, VAUXHALL, CITERON & VW Mostly.<br /><br /> Key Responsibilities: <br /><br /> Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of HGVs, LGVs and other commercial vehicles to DVSA standards<br /> Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults<br /> Carry out inspections, MOT preparations, and road tests<br /> Ensure vehicles are maintained in a roadworthy and legal condition<br /> Booking MOTs at Various MOT Centres across Manchester.<br /> Maintain accurate service and repair records<br /> Respond to breakdowns as required using breakdown vehicle provided.<br /> Work collaboratively with workshop staff and management<br /><br /> Requirements: <br /><br /> NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent (essential)<br /> Proven experience as an HGV mechanic or technician<br /> Strong understanding of HGV systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, and diagnostics<br /> A valid HGV Class 1 licence is desirable but not essential<br /> Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail<br /> Ability to work independently and manage own Workflow & Time.<br /> Own tools<br /><br /> What We Offer: <br /><br /> Competitive salary + overtime opportunities<br /> Company pension scheme<br /> Training and development support<br /> Independent working<br /> Modern workshop facilities<br /> PPE and specialist tools provided<br /> 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)<br /> Mandatory Shutdown over Christmas<br /><br /> How to Apply: <br />If you're a reliable, motivated, and qualified HGV Mechanic looking for a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you.<br /><br />Job Types: Full-time, Permanent<br /><br />Pay: £20.00 per hour<br /><br />Expected hours: 45 per week<br /><br />Benefits:<br /> Casual dress<br /> Company pension<br /> On-site parking<br><br>Experience:<br /> HGV Mechanic: 10 years (preferred)<br /><br />Licence/Certification:<br /> NVQ Level 3 (required)<br /> Category CE Licence (preferred)<br /><br />Work Location: In person<img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?BYYZSi1VQS8WKRjyPSZS2f0jjtP8T9Job" width="0" height="0" />
