Job description
<strong>Role: CNC Milling Programmer</strong><strong>Location: Wellingborough</strong><strong>Salary: £36,000 - £42,000 per annum</strong><strong>Overview</strong> We are seeking an experienced CNC Milling Programmer to join our growing manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines up to 5-axis, ensuring components are produced accurately and efficiently to customer specifications. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced precision engineering environment.<strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models</li><li>Create and optimise CNC programs using HyperMill software (experience with OneCNC and SolidWorks will also be considered)</li><li>Utilise Vericut software where required</li><li>Select and load appropriate tooling based on material and machining requirements</li><li>Program, set, and operate CNC milling machinery up to 5-axis</li><li>Adjust machine cutting paths and troubleshoot machining issues during production</li><li>Carry out in-process and final quality inspections to ensure components meet specification</li><li>Support quotation activities for new and existing work</li><li>Liaise directly with customers regarding new projects and technical queries</li><li>Assist in training and mentoring junior or new members of staff</li><li>Support the wider business with additional workshop duties where required</li></ul><strong>Requirements</strong><ul><li>Previous experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment</li><li>Strong CNC milling programming experience</li><li>Extensive knowledge of CAD/CAM software, ideally HyperMill</li><li>Experience programming, setting, and operating up to 5-axis CNC machinery</li><li>Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and manufacturing processes</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and quality standards</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage workloads to deadlines</li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team</li></ul><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?1cWG9WvfIsq1L5WifQ7IFkEsDMx3WMOIo" width="0" height="0" />
