Civils Site Foreman / Supervisor

<p>A well-established Civil Engineering Contractor with a strong pipeline of infrastructure and groundworks projects across the region is seeking an experienced Civils Foreman / Supervisor. The business delivers a wide range of Civils schemes, including: groundworks, drainage, earthworks, structures and general infrastructure improvements.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>As a Civils Foreman / Supervisor, you will oversee daily site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with technical requirements. You will provide strong on-site leadership, coordinating labour, plant and subcontractors while maintaining progress and quality across multiple civil projects<strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Supervising site teams delivering drainage, ducting, concrete works, foundations, kerbing, earthworks and general groundworks</li><li>Managing day-to-day site activities and ensuring works are delivered to programme</li><li>Leading daily briefings, toolbox talks and ensuring RAMS compliance</li><li>Monitoring quality construction and ensuring civil engineering works meet specifications and drawings</li><li>Coordinating plant, materials and subcontract personnel to maximise productivity</li><li>Working collaboratively with Site Engineers and project delivery teams to resolve on-site issues</li><li>Completing site diaries, permits, safety documentation and maintaining accurate records</li><li>Promoting excellent site standards, housekeeping and safety culture</li></ul><p><strong>Required Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Proven experience as a Foreman, General Foreman, Supervisor, or Ganger within civil engineering or groundworks</li><li>Strong technical understanding of civils methods including drainage, concrete, kerbing and earthworks</li><li>Ability to lead teams, manage subcontractors and maintain productivity on live civils sites</li><li>Confident interpreting drawings and technical documentation</li><li>Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving abilities</li><li>Full UK driving licence</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>SSSTS or SMSTS</li><li>CSCS card required</li><li>First Aid beneficial</li></ul><p>This is a fantastic opportunity with an established Civil Engineering Contractor, with a strong pipeline of work in the area<strong>What you need to do now</strong>If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.</p><p>Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
