<p>Our Client, a Greater Manchester council, is seeking a Children's Social Worker to join their Front Door Team.</p><p>Fantastic payrate of £35 per hour!</p><p>Are you a Children's Social Worker, passionate about making a difference in your community? Do not miss out on this fantastic opportunity!</p><p><strong>Responsibilities of this role:</strong></p><ul><li>Act as a first point of professional response for contacts and referrals concerning children and families</li><li>Undertake high-quality assessments in line with statutory duties under the Children Act 1989 and 2004</li><li>Make timely, proportionate decisions to safeguard children and promote their wellbeing</li><li>Work closely with MASH partners, early help services, and other agencies to triage and progress cases</li><li>Identify levels of risk and need, initiating appropriate interventions or signposting to services</li><li>Complete clear, analytical, and timely case recording and documentation</li><li>Participate in strategy discussions, safeguarding enquiries, and decision-making forums</li><li>Engage confidently with children, families, and professionals in often complex and high-pressure situations</li><li>Contribute to a supportive team culture and reflective practice</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements of this role:</strong></p><ul><li>Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.</li><li>Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits of working through Reed, include:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide strong operational leadership to the Front Door team, ensuring all contacts and referrals are screened promptly and in line with statutory thresholds.</li><li>Oversee high-quality decision-making, giving timely management direction on safeguarding concerns, strategy discussions, and next steps for children and families.</li><li>Manage, support, and develop a team of Social Workers and Senior Practitioners through regular supervision, coaching, and performance oversight.</li><li>Ensure all assessments, information-gathering, and safety planning are completed to a high standard and within required timescales.</li><li>Lead multi-agency collaboration with partners such as police, health, and education to ensure swift information sharing and coordinated safeguarding responses.</li><li>Monitor workloads, allocate cases effectively, and maintain clear systems to ensure compliance with statutory guidance and local procedures.</li><li>Use data and performance insights to drive continuous improvement, identifying areas for development and embedding best practice within the service.</li><li>Promote a culture of reflective practice, professional curiosity, and child-centred decision-making across the team.</li></ul><p>Does this role interest you?
