Chief Technology Officer

<p>A fast-growing UK technology business specialising in cloud communications, customer engagement platforms and AI-driven solutions is looking for a commercially minded and technically hands-on CTO to lead its next phase of growth.</p><p>This is a senior leadership role for someone who can shape technology strategy, build scalable products, lead engineering teams and work closely with commercial leadership to bring innovative solutions to market.</p><p>The business operates within the UCaaS, CCaaS and CPaaS space, delivering advanced cloud-based communication and customer engagement solutions using modern cloud infrastructure, AI technologies and secure payment integrations.</p><p></p><strong>The Role</strong><p>You will take ownership of the company's technology vision, product roadmap and engineering capability, helping drive the next generation of customer engagement and communications products.</p><p>This role combines strategic leadership with strong technical understanding and customer-facing involvement.</p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Define and lead the overall technology and product strategy</li><li>Build and scale a high-performing product development function</li><li>Develop and deliver a multi-year product roadmap</li><li>Oversee the design, development and launch of cloud-native SaaS products</li><li>Drive the adoption of AI across products and internal development processes</li><li>Lead modern DevOps, CI/CD and cloud infrastructure practices</li><li>Support solution engineering, professional services and customer experience teams</li><li>Deliver technical workshops, demonstrations and training sessions</li><li>Work closely with sales and operations leadership to align technology with commercial goals</li><li>Represent the business in customer meetings, partner engagements and industry events</li></ul><strong></strong><strong>Required Experience</strong><ul><li>Previous experience in a senior technology leadership role such as CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Product Engineering,Technical Director or similar. </li><li>Strong background within UCaaS, CCaaS, CPaaS, MSP or cloud communications environments</li><li>Experience with Twilio Flex, Twilio APIs, AWS or programmable communications platforms</li><li>Understanding of AI-driven contact centre technologies including analytics, automation and conversational AI</li><li>Experience building scalable SaaS products and engineering teams</li><li>Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills</li><li>Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments</li><li>Right to work in the UK</li></ul><strong>Desirable</strong><ul><li>Experience in secure payment integrations and PCI-compliant environments</li><li>Knowledge of ISO27001, GDPR and UK data privacy standards</li><li>Experience working with enterprise or public sector customers</li><li>Understanding of omnichannel customer engagement platforms</li></ul><strong>What's On Offer</strong><ul><li>Senior leadership position within a growing technology business</li><li>Opportunity to shape innovative cloud communications and AI products</li><li>Highly visible role with real influence on company direction</li><li>Competitive salary and performance-based bonus</li><li>Opportunity to build and lead a growing technical function</li></ul><p></p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?%2bjBHvVsVsDdSF4ms%2fwFBUCRMaa%2fELGCEv" width="0" height="0" />
