<p><strong>Avionics Test Technician - Farnborough, UK (On-site)</strong></p><p><strong>Contract role £23.29 per hour PAYE / £31.16 per hour Umbrella</strong></p><p>Our client is seeking an experienced Avionics Test Technician to support the verification and validation of advanced avionics systems within a cutting-edge aerospace environment. This is an exciting opportunity for an Avionics Test Technician who enjoys hands-on testing, fault finding and working closely with engineers to deliver safe, repeatable and high-quality test outcomes.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>The Avionics Test Technician will be responsible for executing structured test activities, identifying issues early and providing clear, actionable feedback to engineering teams. You will work in a safety-critical environment where attention to detail, quality and repeatability are essential. Key Responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Execute avionics test plans in line with defined requirements and safety procedures</li><li>Carry out hands-on testing, fault finding and troubleshooting of avionics systems</li><li>Work with wiring harnesses, sensors, thermocouples and test & measurement equipment</li><li>Accurately record test results and produce clear test reports</li><li>Identify errors, omissions or risks within test plans and raise these proactively</li><li>Communicate test issues effectively with design, manufacturing and programme teams</li><li>Support continuous improvement of test processes and documentation</li><li>Maintain ESD-safe working practices at all times</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>Essential</p><p>Previous experience as a test technician or test engineer within aerospace, avionics or a similar engineering environment</p><ul><li>Strong safety-first mindset with knowledge of safe working practices</li><li>Experience working from structured test plans</li><li>Confidence communicating technical issues and results to stakeholders</li><li>Methodical, analytical approach with excellent attention to detail</li><li>PC literate with experience using test, logging and reporting tools</li></ul><p>Desirable</p><ul><li>Electrical troubleshooting experience</li><li>Familiarity with thermal and/or vacuum chambers</li><li>Knowledge of aerospace or environmental test standards such as DO-160 or MIL-STD-810</li><li>Experience writing, modifying or executing test scripts</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Information</strong></p><ul><li>Hours: 37 hours per week</li><li>Contract end date: 31/12/2026 (with potential extension)</li><li>Security clearance: Applicants must be eligible for BPSS+ clearance</li></ul><p></p><p>Ready to take your next career step? <strong>Click Apply Now</strong> for a confidential chat today!</p><p></p><p>This vacancy is being advertised by Belcan</p><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?sFiDUbGRNFe1Mw651CfKU%2bv1pipU7vKHi" width="0" height="0" />
