<strong>Interim Autism Advisory Teacher</strong><strong>Location: Lambeth, Hybrid Working</strong><strong>Contract: 18th May to 31st July</strong><strong>Rate: £280 PD</strong>We're seeking an experienced and passionate Autism Advisory Teacher to take on a key interim leadership role, supporting schools, families, and services to deliver high-quality, inclusive education for autistic pupils.<strong>The role</strong><ul><li>Lead and manage an autism advisory service, overseeing delivery and team coordination</li><li>Provide expert guidance to schools on effective autism strategies and inclusive practice</li><li>Support the development of neurodiversity-affirming approaches across educational settings</li><li>Deliver high-quality training and CPD for school staff and parents</li><li>Contribute to statutory processes, including assessment panels and tribunals</li><li>Work directly with schools, modelling interventions and supporting staff development</li><li>Build strong partnerships with families, schools, and multi-agency professionals</li><li>Oversee service evaluation, ensuring continuous improvement and impact</li></ul><strong>What you'll bring</strong><ul><li>Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with substantial experience in SEND</li><li>Deep understanding of autism and the diagnostic process</li><li>Proven experience supporting neurodivergent children and young people</li><li>Expertise in autism-specific strategies (e.g. structured approaches, social communication support, reasonable adjustments)</li><li>Experience working with senior leaders and multi-agency teams</li><li>Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and support a wide range of stakeholders</li><li>A proactive, solution-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement</li></ul><strong>Why Choose Ackerman Pierce?</strong>Ackerman Pierce calls upon over 15 years' worth of experience in recruiting directly into the Social Work Sector.
