<p><strong>Assistant Technical Services Manager (Mechanical)</strong><strong>Location - West Midlands</strong><strong>Salary - £42,000 - £45,000 + Car Allowance, Bonus & Excellent benefits</strong><strong>Hours - Mon - Fri 7.30 AM - 4.00 PM</strong><strong>Overview</strong> An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Technical Services Manager (Mechanical) to join a leading facilities management team on a large critical healthcare site in the Midlands. This role is ideal for an experienced Supervisor / Manager or a Senior Mechanical Engineer ready to step off the tools and progress into leadership. You'll play a key role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of a large-scale healthcare facility while leading a team of engineers and driving planned maintenance strategies.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities - Assistant Technical Services Manager</strong></p><ul><li>Plan and manage PPM schedules for site engineers</li><li>Lead, support, and develop a team of c20 engineers</li><li>Act as deputy to the Technical Services Manager when required</li><li>Ensure all mechanical systems and building services operate efficiently and safely</li><li>Oversee reactive and planned maintenance delivery across the site</li><li>Oversee subcontractors and ensure SLA and KPI compliance</li><li>Support budget management, stock control, and contract performance</li><li>Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, HTMs, and statutory requirements</li></ul><p><strong>Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Qualified in a mechanical engineering discipline (City & Guilds or equivalent)</li><li>Strong background in building services / facilities management</li><li>Previous experience within a healthcare or hospital environment (highly desirable)</li><li>Experience leading or supervising engineering teams</li><li>Knowledge of PPM planning systems (e.g. Maximo or similar CAFM systems)</li><li>Strong understanding of health & safety and compliance regulations</li><li>Excellent communication and leadership skills</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits </strong></p><ul><li>Competitive salary, car allowance & bonus</li><li>Life assurance</li><li>Discounts on major retailers & gym memberships</li><li>Cycle to Work scheme</li><li>Ongoing training & career development opportunities</li><li>Employee Assistance Programme & wellbeing support</li></ul><p>Services advertised by Gold Group are those of an Agency and/or an Employment Business.We will contact you within the next 14 days if you are selected for interview.
